A quick intro!

Hi all!

I'm Christie, mom of 3, Nawnie (grandma to 4). I'm married to an AF man and we're currently living near DC while he's stationed at the White House; we're orginally from OK. We've been here about a year and a half and I've found myself depressed and eating more since moving away from our kids, grandbabies and friends in southern Va. I'm used to living near or living on a military base and having my military wives with me. Since we live about 40 miles from the nearest base, it's made my time here difficult. I'm used to being active--I grew up dancing and was a cheerleader in Jr. High & on the pom-pon squad in high school--but have slacked off the past few years. Now that my husband and I are empty-nesters, I'm hoping to get active again. I've started the P90X program...again, and recently updated MFP profile to get me back in the swing of things. Any support, and new friendships, would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to this journey and any friendships made along the way. :)

Hi, Christie! You can add me, too. I grew up in an AF family and we were stationed in several places in Alaska, so I understand about the isolation, too.
  • Thank you both! Request has been sent!

Hi Christie, I'm a former Army guy and have been through P90X and other programs. I would be more than happy to share your journey with you and support you along the way. Feel free to add me.
