Where should you feel squats?

I'm trying to figure out if I have the right squat technique. I put my feet shoulder width apart and sit down like I'm sitting in a chair, and then stand. I feel the burn on the front of my thighs, but shouldn't I feel it in my glutes?

you should down a little lower than chair height- or *kitten* to grass if you have the mobility for it.
truthful it depends on the form- certain form will target certain area's more than others- I mostly feel it in my quads- and inner/outer thighs.
if I switch to front squats totally different feel.
If you can a video it will help you or anyone else assessing your form significantly more than just words will.0 -
Nowhere. Unless Squats gives you permission.:laugh:0

From my experience, if you are feeling it in the front of your thighs, you are leaning too far forward and using the front of your feet to push yourself up. Concentrate on pushing your thighs outward, keeping your weight back and pushing up with your heels. This will ensure you are using your glutes to push up. If you do it properly, you'll feel it.0
