slim fast shakes?

Hey!

Has anyone drank 2 slim fast shakes a day along with a meal and successfully lost weight?

Please explain how much you've lost and how long it took you to lose it. And what exercising you have done along with it. Thank you!

Hey, I personally hate them and they leave me hungry!
My Mother used them and lost 5lbs in 2 weeks with them but said she was never satisfied!

Slimfast are also FULL of sugar (Look at the packaging)

In my opinion you're MUCH better off going to somewhere like myprotein.com and buying their meal replacement shakes, they're a lot healthier and have hardly any sugar, and a lot of protein! Slim fast is cheap because its cheap produce.

    Hope this helps!

I'm actually taking them now replacing it with breakfast since I'm not a breakfast person and I don't get hungry in the morning. But yes it's true, they're NOT filling at all, instead of 1, I have to drink 2 of those ****ers for breakfast in order to get full lmao! But it usually lasts me for like 4 hours and then I get hungry again. I drink them couple hours before I do my cardio workout since I don't wanna eat really heavy food before working out. I love working out early in the morning that's why. Then I have my regular lunch/dinner. But honestly I wouldn't use them as replacement meals, unless you're like me who doesn't eat breakfast.

I've been on Slim Fast for 8 days and they fill me. I've lost 6lb in that time and I don't have a great deal to lose so this is very rapid for me - my exercise is walking for 1-2 hours a day. I've been on the 3-2-1 Slim Fast so I've been having a shake for breakfast, a mid morning Slim Fast snack, a shake for lunch, 2 Slim Fast snacks in the afternoon and a healthy meal in the evening. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another - our bodies and metabolisms and cravings are all different. Yes, I agree with the sugar aspect - I'm over on my sugar each day. But this is the first diet I've stuck to in a long while and one I'm really enjoying so I'm happy enough to be slightly over on my sugar for the time being.

I've tried them in the past, but would get very hungry once they wore off. I think they have a lot of sugar, or too much for me. I liked the meal bars and snack bars though. The dangerous thing for meal replacements is that they get a little boring, and when i get bored I can easily go off the wagon. Real food, real nutritious food is the best way to go. I also found that meal replacements, especially if you bring them to work, scream "I AM ON A DIET!"I prefer to go incognito, especially in the beginning when it can be so difficult to stay on track. You can tell I've been down this road a few times.

If you stick to the rules.of shakes you will lose weight it's not really a magic secret remedy it's literally as simple as staying below a certain amount of calories ... you really don't need shakes to do that but for some it is easier to use shakes ( I did herbalife in January another shake diet ). Shakes will get you results but you have to ask yourself if you want the results to last or if you want to pile the lbs back on once you start eating as shakes won't be good in the long run x

I have used slim fast in the past and the long term results never stayed. This time I have breakfast which every morning is Fage 0% greek yogurt and About Time (whichever flavor I feel like) protein powder. Less sugar, less calories, more filling, and 48 grams of protein which curbs my hunger and gives me energy. Slim fast is good for short term but not long term.

you lose weight from an overall caloric deficit, not whether you eat slimfast shakes or not, and no I wouldn't want to eat them, why would you eat shakes when you can eat tastier more filling whole foods when losing weight

I have been using the Pure Protein shakes from Trader Joes as part of my breakfast, plus two light string cheeses from trader joes. 220 calories total, eat at 7am and I am good until 11-12 for lunch. The first couple of weeks were rough, but I think your body adjusts. I used to eat a lot, so my body was used to more food. But now that I've been controlling portions for 5 months, I am never hungry.
  • Personally my friends and I use Juice+ and all that is just fruit veg and berries, works great.
  • Juice+ works for us and it only contains fruit veg and berries...............works at a cellular level so easily digestible and has great preventative health benefits.

Market speak for nonsense. What does that even mean. It's an insult to the readers. Baffle them with bullspit I guess.
    Thanks for the advert DaveatJuicePlus.

Studies of Juice Plus' effects have generated conflicting and controversial results. Although Juice Plus claims its products' efficacy is backed by research, critics have argued that there is no scientific proof that Juice Plus offers significant health benefits and that deceptive claims are used in the product's marketing information. Some marketing claims made about Juice Plus products have been disputed by consumer watchdog organizations and governmental agencies as misleading[3] and according to Quackwatch it is "a colossal waste of money".[4]

I am confused. If you are not hungry in the morning, why would you need two Slim Fasts to satiate you ? If you really don't need/want food in the AM start eating whenever you feel like it and eat your calories let's say from noon on. I start eating at around 2 pm, because I have found that after eating breakfast for almost 60 years, that I feel much better if I don't. I now eat my food between 2-9 pm, enjoy this way and have lost 50 pounds.

I washed down my donuts with Slimfast for years and never lost a pound. I just don't think they work. ;)

To me, those shakes are like any other fad diet... Get a quick result that you can't maintain. They are loaded with sugar, so you get a brief energy boost and a crash later. They are not filling at all. The best way to lose successfully and maintain is to learn to eat generally healthy, granting yourself the occasional indulgence, and exercise. A healthy lifestyle is far better than any lose quick "scheme".

I don't know why anyone would want to drink them. Get yourself a decent blender and make your own smoothies so you can blend for health and/or taste.
