I have been making really good progress using a combination of MFP and a food optimising diet as well as running and circuit training twice a week, losing 20lbs since January this year. I have recently injured my back though through being an inexperienced runner, devastating as I was really enjoying the energy I found from working out. Has anyone got any tips on less impractical but equally effective work outs? Would swimming be as effective as running?

Yes swimming is just as good. Just remember to keep the pace up. You can check your pulse every couple laps.0
