I have been working out for over three weeks now doing Zumba and Golds gym cardio workout on the Wii, also bought myself a strike bag that occasionally will throw some punches and kicks at for about 5 to 10 minutes after previous workouts. All in all find myself working out over an hour. This week I decided I needed to track my calories so I got the app installed to my phone and have been doing great logging everything I eat throughout the day, every day I work out I have any where from 500 to 700 calories in the green. My problem is that after 6 days I have gained 1.5 pounds what am I doing wrong?

You could be gaining muscle, or maybe you are thinking the calories that you burn doing exercise are higher then they actually are. I wouldnt be concerned about it if your clothes fit you better. Probably best thing to do is experiment for a few weeks and see if your weight continues to go up some.0

You probably aren't doing anything wrong. Opening your diary would help us to see more of your routine and possibly spot any problems you have. If you're comfortable doing this you can go to Settings at the top of the page, then Diary Settings, and Public and Save Changes.
Six days is not enough time to decide whether or not something is working. Bodies are weird and our weight goes up and down from day to day. A 1.5 pound gain over 6 days is probably just water weight. Our bodies retain water because of sodium, hormones (especially if you're nearing your TOM), strenuous exercise, or any number of other reasons. This can mask whatever fat loss is happening and cause a slight bump on the scale.
The good news is that if it is just water it will be temporary. Drink plenty of fluids to help flush out any excess and weigh again next week to see if it's gone away.0 -

Muscle gain is the least likely of all the options. It really is difficult to put on muscle mass and almost impossible in a calorie deficit like the OP is describing and certainly not over a pound of muscle a week.0 -
Are you weighing and/or measuring your foods? If not, you could be miscalculating your calories. Your estimated calorie burn could be too high as well. Plus, weight fluctuates throughout the day. You could have just weighed yourself at the wrong time. Sometimes I don't lose anything for a few weeks (and can be up by 5 pounds during that time period) and then one day I get on the scale and I'll be down 2 lbs from my lowest.0

It's probably water retention from the exercise. Anytime you start a new exercise or increase it, your body will retain water for muscle repair. It's temporary and will go down.0

Thank you all for your support and suggestions, I was at first just going by calories burn that the app already has calculated, I have a lifetrac monitor and checked it against what the wii said I burned in zumba and it was pretty accurate surprised me. And today I didn't log all of my exercise.0
