Please explain this to me

I know I have a goal (but for some reason it changed to more today) then I have what I eat and what I workout. The next one I have I don't understand. What is net calories is that what I need to eat or have ate or what?

Your net calories SHOULD be equaling your goal.. meaning if you've been given 1400 from MFP and that's what the first one reads, you should be eating as close to that goal as possible each day. There is alot of argument over whether or not to eat back your exercise calories, but if you're doing all of it through MFP it's already giving you a deficit regarding your activity level that you put in at the start. I try to eat back my exercise calories, but sometimes I just can't do it.. especially if I've done a 900 calorie workout. But please don't try to put a huge deficit onto your net calories, that's very unhealthy and will screw your metabolism.
    Hope that helps :-)
