Hello from the Houston/Galveston area!
My wife and I just got our FitBit Flex units this last Friday, 3/21/14. She does Weight Watchers, so I needed something I could sync with my FitBit and tie everything together.
We are both avid scuba divers, geocachers and cruisers. My job in infectious disease research tends to be sedentary, so I want to have a healthier lifestyle with proper eating and exercise.
I've been too complacent for too many years and need to shed pounds and "shape up."
Currently, we *try* to work out 6 days per week at the local gym. Three days I do a combination cardio warmup for 35 minutes then do circuit training for another 20 minutes. The other three days are straight cardio workouts on the treadmill for an hour.
I'd be happy to add active users to my friends list.
Have a GREAT day!

Welcome neighbors! MFP works well with Weight Watchers and I think you will enjoy the service. I am a Lifetimer with Weight Watchers and have used MFP for 2 1/2 yr now to keep track. It helps put a new perspective on the PPVs.0

Welcome to the group! I'm also in the Houston/Galveston area, and have a Fitbit One just to help monitor my daily calorie burn. I'm not sure how accurate it is lately because I've switched from mainly cardio to more of a weight lifting approach over the last couple of months. But I still like to get a good run in every once in a while.
Feel free to add me if you're looking for friends in the area!0
