Eating healthy meals alongside lots of sweets?

Just some background on how I eat:
I consistently eat pretty healthily for my main meals (oatmeal for breakfast, boiled/steamed vegetables + chicken breast/fish/egg + 1/2-1 cup of rice for lunch and dinner, with fruits in between meals).
However I LOVE baked goods. This past year I moved into a new apartment for students and I have friends here who are amazing bakers.. and it's just been brownies, cookies, cakes galore. They live practically next door so sometimes they're even delivered to me! However I've barely exercised outside of brief walks to classes... and as a result I've put on a couple pounds. I had never tracked calories until recently and I'm pretty amazed by how calorie/sugar/fat packed baked goods can be... I had no idea one harmless looking cookie could be 200 calories.
Basically, can I justify eating sweets while losing weight by exercising them off? Or does it not work this way? Say I eat 350 calories of my friend's brownies--If I go running for an hour to burn it off, and keep my healthy eating routine for main meals to stay in a calorie deficit--will I still be able to lose weight? Or is the extra sugar/fat content I'm consuming from baked goods going to stall my progress even if I burn off the supposed number of calories it contains?
Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

I eat snacks all the time (including sweets) and lose consistently. You can absolutely exercise to work in that treat. Enjoy!0

My best advice is stop eating sweets or limit yourself from eating them. Hehe. If you can't help it, it's better to wait for some experts to reply on this topic you created.0

What works for my macros is loading up on protein and fiber at meals and saving the fat and carbs for sweets. I'll still eat whole grains, just sparingly. Like today, breakfast was a donut and coffee. To balance that out, lunch was a salad with lean meat and tomato soup. Keeps my macros in check and I still eat what I want. Works for me, and I'm still losing even though I've gotten to the last five pounds or so.0

Eat "healthy" 80% of the time. Fit yummy, portion-controlled treats into your calorie goal.
