Short Overweight Woman- Need help finding jeans!

Ah, I remember wearing 11's when I was lower weight too, lol. I'm 5' around 168lbs now and have a pair of artist's jeans from AE in size 14 that fit pretty awesomely. They loosen up throughout the day, too, which is good for if I eat a bit more than I wanted to and bad if I forgot to put on a belt. In most department store brands, I'm a size 14 or 12 if the sizes run a bit larger. I actually don't buy the short length jeans. I think because my calves are stupidly large they make it so I kinda need the extra space...idk, though.0

Gloria Vanderbilt makes jeans and pants that run a bit large and have spandex in them, so they're stretchy & very comfy. I always find mine at Costco, believe it or not.
Lee does make nice jeans for those of us with tummies - I like those too.0 -
Many popular brands offer "short" versions of their pants but only online...which kinda sucks because you can't just try them on but if you're willing to risk having to return it's worth a try. The Gap is one I know of for sure; but maybe check out the web sites of some brands you like who don't offer "short" in store.0

Levis 512 Perfectly Slim Jeans. They come in petite size, or in regular with short length. I found my first pair at TJ Maxx, now that I know my size I order online. I can't wait until I lose a bit more and can wear my regular jeans though! Getting there...0

My thighs and butt are big so I have opposite problem too. But, the jeans that I like are Ruff Hewn. They are expensive unless there is an extreme sale, but they come up on ebay all the time. Not for apple shaped women though. They do not run small, so you can order your correct/true size. Also have a tad bit of spandex so they don't sag. I don't know if they make skinny leg styles. For those who have worn Lee, they are not a lot smaller in the waist like Lee jeans are, compared to butts, btw.0

I've given up trying to find jeans that fit. I'm 5'3" and have a large bottom, smaller waist. Every waist on jeans is loose, or I can't fit them over my butt. I end up buying the big waisted jeans that fit otherwise and bring them over to my mom's house where she takes the waist in. Otherwise I think i'd live in yoga pants.0

Try Lane Bryant or Torrid. They offer different style jeans in different fits. They go from size 12 to idk what & offer them in short to extra tall. You have to go and try on all the different fits. Don't just pick the one you think sounds most like you & when it doesn't work give up. You'll probably be surprised at which ones work for you. The descriptions are so general they fit everyone differently.0

Lane Bryant, Torrid, Ashley Stewart they all have different fits of jeans from skinny to boot cut and if your like me try high rise skinny they pull over the stomach to smooth out the rolls whole flattering your legs, they also have tall and short0

I have the same problem, and I'm similar in height/weight to you. Since having 3 kids, my stomach has gotten much bigger so my pants are all baggy in the butt/thighs in order for them to fit around my stomach. It sucks. I don't know if the perfect brand exists, but my favorites are Maurices brand. They are relatively inexpensive and fit pretty well.0

I am 5', big thighs and butt, hourglass shape. I generally wear a 12 short (although I'm wearing a 14 now due to weight gain this winter). I get all my jeans at American Eagle or Maurices. Maurices has extra short too but you generally have to order them online or they will order them for you in the store.0

I'm 5'3" and have for years been wearing "Just My Size" and "Croft & Barrow". The most comfortable jeans, with pockets, elastic waist and lots of stretch. They have petite for the shorter women. I've found them at Wal Mart, Sears, K-Mart & Kohls and the price is very reasonable, $14 to $20 at Walmart & Kmart and for the same jeans they about 2 times the cost at Sears & Kohls.0

I have had success with the Limited jeans. Pricey, and there are only a few styles that come in short, but they don't lose their shape throughout the day. I also love AE jeans! I bought a pair of skinny jeans this Fall and LOVE them. Never thought I would have been able to pull of a pair of skinny jeans but they fit so well and hold their shape. My other go to pair is one from J.Lo brand at Kohl's. I purchased online after reading reviews. Great fit, but they are starting to lose their shape... probably because I wear them so often :P0

I'm 5' 5" and have very short legs. My favorite brand is the Levi's Signature series. They come in three lengths, short, medium and long. I started out with a big butt, hips and stomach, size 16 and the short size fit me perfectly. Now, my butt is just about non-existent, still have a larger stomach and wear a size 6. They still fit me nicely. They're available at Walmart, Meijer, JC Penney, Sears, K-Mart, Amazon and eBay. I've had good luck with Gloria Vanderbilt jeans as well. Good luck, hope you find some that fit!0

Good luck - I have been blessed by being short with a big butt and hips - and smaller waist. Doesn't matter what I've weighed (117 or 153) they are always too big in my waist by the time I get them over my butt and hips.
Best brand I got by with for years was Lee Riders - However, they have changed the cut on those too!
And forget length - I just have to hem them!
My issue exactly. And to make matters worse, I'm currently between sizes. 16s way too big, 14s too snug. I have cried going clothes shopping, the struggle is awful.0 -
if you are in UK then try New Look, cheap jeans that fit well!0

I usually can find petite plus size jeans (and pants) at Lane Bryant, J.C. Penney and Kohls. Unfortunately Lane Bryant doesn't always carry short people stuff in the store, you have to order it online.0

I'm tall so feel free to ignore me but I know Avon has stretch jeans and I think they have petite. You might have to cut off the bottom but the stretch should help for a variety of body shapes. hope that helps0

I skimmed everyone's answers and just wanted to offer my experience since I am a jean hoarder! I am larger in the middle area so I love jeans that have some stretch to them as to not accentuate my love handles! I Love Torrid and they are pretty true to size. They don't stretch out, but are stretchy enough to be comfortable. They also offer length options. In skinny jeans I love Old Navy Rockstar skinny’s. They are super stretch and have a lot of give in the waist area so you can get away ordering a size down and they run a little short so they would probably be perfect for you. In bootcut and flair options I love Vigoss and Silver jeans. Both are super cute and flattering but maybe a little on the more expensive side, but most definitely worth it! Believe me I have tried every pair of plus size jeans in the world!0
