When You've Lost Enough Weight

Hi guys, I've been working on this for about 20 days and so far so good - my question is, when I've lost enough weight, how do I get back to eating the "maintaining" amount of calories without gaining weight back? I've got a feeling that I shouldn't just go from eating 1600c to around 2500 calories in a day, so should I just add an extra 100 on every couple of days until I reach the maintenance amount?

Thanks!

You're not going to be eating 1600 calories for your entire weight loss. The idea is that as you get closer to goal, you decrease your lbs per week goal, which increases you calories, making the transition to maintenance easier. The last 15 lbs or so, your goal should be around 1/2 lb loss per week, or a 250 calorie deficit per day, which you could increase by 50 to 100 calories per day over the course of a few weeks to get up to maintenance without seeing weight gain.

For me, my goal weight is actually 5-10lbs lower than the weight I want to maintain, so that I give my body the room to even its self out once I'm at maintenance.
