After a few months neglecting cardio a little, I'll back to running - if the snow will ever melt!! So, I'm looking for people who run: Men, women, older and younger. Just people who run regularly, as this is what I will be doing in the upcoming months and weeks.
Here are my best times. I'm looking forward to beat those.
5 km:
0:24:33 (2014-01-14, 4:54 min/km)
10 km:
0:53:03 (2013-11-03, 5:18 min/km)
Anyone wants to share motivation? I'm Ben, 31, from Montreal, Canada I log in daily, I support my friends and like being supported.

Hello Ben. I'm a bit of a new runner...been running for about 7 months. In that time I've ran two half marathons and lost almost 60 lbs. I've got the bug and can't seem to stop. I'm running 40 to 50 miles a week now.
5k: 22:44
10k: 48:14
Half: 1:44:44
Here's my story and pictures of my first half:

Shoot me a friend request if you want another serious running buddy.

Hi Ben. I'm a newer runner too. Started running a year ago to loose weight and haven't stopped since then. Not the fastest runner but am loving it.
These were my race time. Ran my half in January but my speed has increased and in my 10 mile a few weeks ago I finally broke below 12 minute miles and I just PR in my 5k last week. My 10k was also in January.
5k: 34:58
10k: 1:06:45
10 mile : 1:59:45
Half: 2:46:490 -
Dont be shy ^_^

Hey Ben,
I'm a runner too. I've run I think 6 half marathons now & I'm going to run my first full in November. My PB for my half is 2:17:10 and I was going for a sub 60 10K when I broke my foot! I know I could have done it too. Previously I was at 1:02:38
I was 7 lbs above my goal when I broke my foot and managed to gain another 16. I'm back to running. No big distances, just working on getting my speed back right now and trying to drop 20 lbs! I'll start upping my distance again probably the end of the month.0 -
Definitely send me an FR! I've been running for about a year. My average 5K time is 30 minutes. I'm currently training for a 10K and using the Adidas MiCoach app (which is awesome) to track my progress.
I'd love more running buddies.0 -
I love to run!!! Its the best! I did my first 8k this year! Average pace a little over 10 min per mile. I ran the whole thing I didnt stop!! It was a great experience. Really made me realize how much I love running. I want to train for a half marathon.0

I feel the term 'runner' is being a bit generous for what I do considering how slow I am but I give it a go. I have completed a half marathon (I only really 'ran' 3/4 on an off at most) in a not great 2:47. My 5k pb was just under 30min but I had some time off and am getting back into so a little slower at the mo.0

Kind regards - Us cyclists :laugh:0 -
Hey Ben.
Times are very similar to mine. Been running for about 8 months now and have 4 10Ks booked for later this year. No snow in Scotland, where I live anyway, but weather is still rubbish.
Please feel free to add0 -
Hey Ben,
I've been running for about 3 years. Ive ran several 5Ks, a half marathon, a sprint triathlon and training for another in less than a month, a tough mudder and am already signed up for one in June.
All runners feel free to add me!0 -

Hey a mile is a mile no mater what! With a 5k pb under 30 minutes, if you find a good training plan, you could easily beat your 2:47. :flowerforyou:0 -
I used to hate running but got into it about 18 months ago. I haven't been brave enough yet to tackle a half marathon but have done 4 10k road races and 1 10k trail race (most difficult thing I've ever attempted). My best time for a 10k has been 52 mins 23 secs and I've just entered another for May so am hoping to beat this!! I usually do the Great Scottish Run in Sep/Oct and there's an option of a half marathon so I'll maybe see if I'm feeling up to it nearer the time.0

I'm just getting back into running... I havent done any races due to the fact of when they are going on I'm at the soccer fields with my kids... I am doing a 10k on the 12th of April... FR me..0

Hey! I am a runner as well. I have just started training for my first half. Shoot me a FR if you want another runner for serious support!

Helo all..im a runner (obvisously)...started last year and getting set to do my 4th half in April (which was the first one I ever did last year, so plan on crushing my dismal time for that). Currently running about a 10:45 for half marathon, 9:40 for a 5K. When I hit my goals for this I will set sights for a full in the fall.
Anyone feel free to add me if they wish!0 -
Hey! I like to call myself a runner
I started last year. My times aren't really great but I'm working on them.
I run 3-4 times a week. Feel free to add me0 -
Welcome, Ben.
I'm a swimmer who runs:
5K: 21:08
10K: 43:13
1/2 marathon: 1:41:08
I swim MWF (40 min. of laps in the morning) and run 4T, 6Th, 4F, and LONG Sunday.
My goal is always to improve on my own times.0 -
You called?
I'm not sure I can call myself a runner but jogger or plodder, certainly!
I get out 3-4 times a week and currently training for a half.
Looking forward to having more runner friends.. :drinker:0 -
240lb "runner" here .....
I run 5k around 4 times per week in around 32 mins.
Previous Half : 2:45
Running my 3rd full marathon on Sunday 6th April (previous times just over 6 hours and this time looking for around 5hrs 30)0 -
Beginner here. I started about 3-4 months back. I'm signed up for my first 10K at the end of April.
My best 10K is 59:01 http://runkeeper.com/user/shmulyeng/activity/326808169
I initially started for weight loss but shifting now to increase my running distance.
I can use some MFP friends in a similar situation.0 -
Today is actually my one year anniversary of becoming a regular runner. No April Fools joke here! I ran my fastest 5K a couple weeks ago...just under 30 mins. I will be running my first 10K on Memorial Day. Flying to Colorado to do so! Running is a healthy addiction that I'm so happy I got into. Feel free to add me.

Hi Ben!
Fellow Canadian and Runner here.
I don't have official 5K or 10K times, but according to my garmin my unofficial PRs for those distances are:
5K: 28:09
10K: 58:06
I ran my first half-marathon in October 2013, with a finishing time of 2:17 (My goal was 2:30). I'm doing another half on May 4th and I'd really like to shave my time down to 2:05 or 2:10.
I'm also training for my first full marathon in June, and recently completed my first every 20 mile training run. I have 2 more of those planned before doing the marathon. My goal there is just to finish - but the course closes at 6 hours, so, obviously I have a bit of a time restriction.0 -
I'm a runner.
Started with the C25K last September, and then was sidelined with an injury but been back at it now for about a month or so.
Ran my first 5K race on Saturday. My PB over the 5K distance is 32:36. I have 2 10Ks booked for over the summer and my first Half planned for October.
I'm out on the road 4 times a week!0 -
Fellow runner here, all are free to add me. I've been running off and on for years but have been running consistently since May 2013. My next half marathon is just 12 days away!0
-
Hi Ben! Sent you a FR. I'm kind of a newbie to running, but I'm really getting hooked. I hope to improve and learn through my MFP buddies. I log daily and tend to post dry and colorful commentary, so anyone feel free to add me.0

I'm an off again /on again runner and having been running for over 15 years. Have ran countless 5ks and 10ks, 10 milers and 1/2 marathons in the past but my favorite races are the 10 milers, not too long and not to short. I'll be running the Cherry Blossom 10-miler on Saturday, then a 10K plus the NYC 5 Burroughs Bike Tour in May, and then train for the Philly half marathon in November. As you can see, have my activities planned for the year.0

Hi Ben, and other runners!
I've been running about 3 years, I completed a Tough Mudder and my first half in 2012, and did the same half last year, with a time of 2:01:33 (unexpectedly knocking 3.5 mins off my target), now I'm keen to get under the 2hr mark!
I'll be signing up for my first full shortly (hoping to get into the Disney World marathon in January) so when my training gets going properly I could use all the support I can get! Particularly interested what other runners do for training and nutrition.
Anyone please feel free to add me!0 -
Hi I enjoy the running too. Tonight is my first hours long run in 12 months after an injury, any runners feel free to add me.0
-
Hi!
I am the worlds slowest runner. But I'm still running faster then those sitting on the sofa!
:-)0 -

Been running now for about a year:
