I have a quick question

Is it okay for me the eat snacks (junks foods) as long as I am under my calorie intake for the day...... So for instance i'm allotted 1200 calories a day per MFP I go to the Gym Monday - Friday and burn 500-600 calories per workout. My usual intake is under the 1200 points i'm allotted and I rarely eat my workout calories back . So can I have a Junk food if Im still under goal?

A moderation of snacks won't hurt you at all.

One more thing, you exercise quit a bit, are you sure your calories aren't too low?

If you are using MFP, is your activity level set correctly?

You can have whatever you want. Just be sure to measure and log it accurately. And be mindful of trigger foods. For me, it is really hard to eat just one serving of ice cream or snacky things like Chex Mix, and I often end up going back to the container for "one more bite" several times, so I find it best to try to keep them out of the house.

I may need to adjust it I just started doing the gym 2 weeks ago and prior to that I was not really exercising.

from my point of view, the amount of macro nutrients is as important as the calorie intake , for example if you go over your recommended sodium intake (which is very high in junk food) and stay at or below your calorie limit, most probably your body will retain water, you might even gain a couple of pounds of water weight. in my case if I'm under my calorie limit and have more carbs than protein my weight loss slows down dramatically.

As long as you're adhering to your macro and calorie goals, you can eat whatever you'd like!

Monitor your body and make sure you're consuming enough calories. Because those workouts tend to burn quite a bit and you're already on a pretty low calorie intake diet, you should just be mindful. Always want to be careful!

At 1200 calories, I actually have to suggest otherwise. 1200 calories is an extremely low goal and I implore you to consider eating back at least half of your exercise calories. That being said, when you are eating so little, it's even more important for your food to be nutritionally dense. While junk food in moderation is fine, 1200 calories just doesn't provide you with the kind of wiggle room junk food requires. If you're going to have a nutritionally void bag of chips for 300 calories, that's 25% of all the food you eat that day! How are you going to hit the right macronutrient ratio and get enough of your micronutrients if the food you're eating isn't the best it can be? Perhaps a better solution for you would be to use your exercise calories to eat treats?
