I just feel so blah these days and can't force myself to exercise. I try but the energy is just not there. I have Epstein Barr which is like Mono. Is there anything I can get at Walmart (vitamin-wise) to help give me some energy? Any suggestions please share. this is affecting every part of my life. I can't even clean my house up the way I want to.

First I would suggest talking to your doctor b4 buying anything at WalMart (or anywhere else) because of the possible side effects that your doctor would know about. You might also need a physical to make sure that it isn't something else.
I don't have Epstein Barr, but understand how you feel. I think it is just due to the change in the weather & the time of year. During the holiday season a lot of people don't have the energy that they usually do the rest of the year. I think it has to do with all the planning, shopping & everything that goes on this time of year.
  • HawaiianDreamer - I was thinking about all of the holiday stuff adding to my stress and causing me to get more tired too. Thanks for your suggestions.

I absolutely agree with HawaiianDreamer about talking to your doctor. With a chronic illness, whenever you had stress (event the good kind), it changes our hormone composition. Have you also considered (and I hope I'm not overstepping) maybe slight depression, even Seasonal Affective Disorder (for this time of year)? I only say that because when the symptoms described happened to me, especially the difficulty in even just straightening the house, I realized it was more than my diet and sleep. For example, Wellbutrin is a nice "pick me up" without a lot of adverse side effects.

I really hope you feel better soon.

    How much do you exercise?
That sounds like mild overexercising so how about resting from exercise for a week or two to recover.
  • Yes, I do suffer from depression passed down from both of my parents. I'm on a low dose of Fluxotine (generic for Prozac). And I hardly even exercise anymore. I need to exercise more. I think depression may have a lot to do with it, that paired with the Epstein Barr.

I have talked to my doc. There's nothing she said she could give me for fatigue. She just suggested a multi-vitamin. I don't know what I'm going to do.

Bummer :( I suffer from some sort of seasonal affective disorder and winter months are hard for me. I hope it clears up for you.
