What are YOU doing this for??

Ya know when they say "when you feel like quitting....remember why you started in the first place" ?

Well .... what is your reason for starting?

I will admit, I lost 160 pounds in 2010 and my motivation was because I had just had my first child and I was TERRIFIED that I would die and leave her without a mother ( I had also just lost my own mother) And THAT is what MADE me lose the weight.... and it worked!

Fast forward to 2014.... I have 3 kids now and only need to lose 30 pounds to get back to the body that I loved.... so what am I working for THIS time???? My husband. My hubby is so amazing and supportive ( and of course..in great shape) and I want him to look at me and think WOW, SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! I know he says that to me now, but I want him to really think it all the time. My reward once I hit my goal is a Boudior Photography session... to give to my hubby for all his support!

I love hearing other people's motivation for their weight loss journey! PLEASE feel free to share it here!

  • The first reason I'm doing this is the big one and thats for my health, I watched my grandad die a slow death from kidney failure casued by Diabetes and I'm not going to let that happen to me, we've also recently discoverd that heart conditions run in his family.

The second reason is so I can look in the mirror and be happy with what I see, I'm single for the first time in almost 4 years and I want to feel good enough about myself that I can go out and feel sexy in what I'm wearing.

I want to be able to keep up with my grandkids. A brand new granddaughter reminded me how much I enjoyed hikes, bike rides, water parks, amusement parks, zoos...you name it. I was at a point physically where I simply would not have been able to do that with her. Although I have not lost a lot of weight, I have gotten stronger. I've built endurance, flexibility and strength. I am on my way to a healthier me!

Great reasons! I truly believe if you have something to work FOR, it is easier to succeed!
