Quit drinking pepsi

I quit soda 1/1/14 cold turkey. Never thought I would give up my caffeine-free diet coke. Really had no desire to give it up. Then, I took a look at how much I was spending on diet coke and coffee (regular). I also didn't like having to have it and wondered if I could give it up. These two reasons and reading about diet soda effects and the benefits of giving it up (possible weight loss) challenged and motivated me to get it done. I also am a recently diagnosed acid reflux sufferer. Another reason to give it up. The nausea associated with acid reflux was obnoxious! However, I decided it might not be best to give up pop and coffee at the same time. Have had no pop since 12/31/13 and am down to 1 cup of coffee a day. Have only had a couple cravings for pop. It's been easier than I though it would be. You can do it. Be determined.0

I gave up drinking Pepsi and coke a cola a year ago, and have to admit I still crave it, but I know if I had one it would lead to another then another, its an addiction but so far haven't given in. I do drink ginger beer and dandilion and burdock they have no caffine in them and drink loads of water.0

I went cold turkey on all sodas over a year ago. It was the best decision I ever made. I feel tons better and don't miss the drinks at all. The headaches were a bit overwhelming at first, but it didn't take long for them to go away. I used to get really bad heart burn from the carbonation, and now I rarely get it...only when I eat too much bread. Giving up soda is a challenge, but it's a challenge worth taking on.0

I been trying for weeks in quitting pepsi for water, I know there's other nearly zero calories drink out there, but compare to pepsi, it's just too expensive, and when I don't drink pepsi, I would drink about 25 cups of green tea per day, it's crazy but drinking too much green tea fulfills my caffeine needs.0
