Late 20's "thick" woman looking to lose weight

I'd love some friends and advocates in losing weight.....

I started at 192 pounds, 5'8

Looking to lose 50 pounds, but am having trouble with TOO MUCH muscle mass in my thighs!!!! Not enough anywhere else, but I don't think I can lose the 50 pounds without sacrificing muscle in my thighs. Anyone else have a similar problem?
