Can't find food to add to my recipe

Hey guys, I wonder if anyone else had this problem. I'm trying to add a food for a recipe, but the one I'm looking for doesn't show on the search results. I know it exists because it shows on the public database, and I've used it.
Is there any way to add it manually or solve this problem?
Thank you all in advance!
Cheers!

I have also had this problem. What I've been doing is looking things up in the regular database and directly copying and pasting their names into the recipe search. It's not 100%, but it works most of the time.0

If you have the app on your phone/other device then you can use the scanner. Just aim it at the barcode like you'd take a picture and it will then line up the scan to the barcode and be on your phone now, as well as the site.0
