Ok so apparently I still can't use moderation when I make baked goods. How do you all do it?

I was thinking that may be the case when i read your other thread. maybe you need to go buy one brownie at the store and eat that. Don't make a pan. How about fruit? Would that help satisfy a sweet craving for you? I gave up that stuff months ago. If I want sweet I eat fruit. It works for me. I know evertone is different though. Good Luck and don't beat yourself up about.0

I really just barely ever bake anymore... I've heard of people taking one treat and putting the rest in the freezer for later, but I'm not sure that would even work for me :laugh:0

There's no store that only sells one brownie here unfortunately, lol. Or I would have done that... And no, when I crave something in particular, fruit is just not going to cut it.0

I've seen it, but it was 500 calories so I didn't want to do it. Oh, the irony :laugh:0 -
I mix a lil hot cocoa into my plain greek yogurt. Feels indulgent. Used to add cocoa to cool whip bc one serving of the creamy goodness is only 25 cals, course, there's no nutritional value.0

Where do you live? There is a kinds of individual desserts etc in stores here. If I bake a whole pan of something I can't control myself. I just don't bake unless I'm bringing the pan to a party or something. You can make those desserts in the microwave in a mug, the recipes are all over pinterest.0

So far, when I have cheated, I just either did my treadmill that day or the next day and/ or made sure I was really good the next few days, and didn't use all my calories the next day.0

Ok so bake things you don't like...I used my sisters easy-bake oven to cook my mud pies...they looked great but tasted REALLY bad..hat was it for my baking career..0

I actually hadn't baked anything for a while, so now I just have to stay away for a while again.
But yeah, I'll have to try and find good mug recipes for next time.
And no, sorry, cocoa in Greek yogurt, not going to cut it. I've tried that, chocolate oatmeal, vitatops muffin tops... nothing worked. When I have a craving I just need the real thing, lol.
Good thing is my craving is gone (we still have half the brownies too, but I'm going to try really hard not to touch those... hubby said there isn't enough to bring to his friends tomorrow now!).0 -

Here's a couple of links to a bunch of single-serving dessert recipes! I've tried several of them, and they're pretty yummy-- as a plus, there's not the temptation of the entire pan.

Its hard so I try not to buy the "bad" stuff. But the other day another member posted a recipe for molten chocolate cake but healthier. Haven't tried it yet but I'm keeping it handy for when I have that hard to resist craving. Here it is:
Molten lava cake
1 egg white
1 heaping scoop chocolate protein powder
1 tbsp cocoa powder
sweetener to taste( 1 packet should be enough)
dash baking powder
less than 1/8 cup water
mix ingredients adding only little bit of water at a time until it is the consistency of cake batter. Microwave for 25 to 35 seconds. Should still be runny in the middle. Stir together. Ready to serve0 -
If you get the refrigerated mini Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie dough, you can bake them one or two at a time. They are about 50 calories each, and a warm chocolate chip cookie should satisfy those cravings. Just be sure to turn off the oven and return the package to the fridge or freezer.0

If I'm having a choclate or sugary craving, I make myself a hot cup of diet or sugar free coco and believe it or not, It takes the craving away. Especially after dinner at around 7, I always crave a piece of cake or cookie or something, but doing this coco thing, really helps a lot and there are so little calories in it.:drinker:0

I bake and take. If it is a cake or pan of brownies I bring it to the office to give away. That allows everyone to devour it and usually I can get a piece to myself with no concerns but don't have to keep the full pan on the counter. It helps quite a bit. I find the less I eat sweets the easier it is to control cravings.0

I made two loaves of bread and a loaf of banana bread. I didn't do well. Two and a half slices of the regular bread and slice (and a third) of banana bread.
I'm a carb-*kitten*. Bread is in my blood. I was doing very good for the first 10 days (following the 30 Day Shred) and then I had a break/cheat day before level 2.0 -
look up the 321 cake on here. I've been doing that all month and have stopped craving so many sweets because I no longer feel deprived. I usually eat 1-2 servings of it before bed. Now that I've run out of mix a week before I go food shopping and right before Aunt Flow I'm DIEING for something sweet and chocolaty. It helped me during the visit last month with out a problem! Can't wait to go food shopping and make sure to buy enough this time lol!0

There's a blog I love called Dessert for Two. The girl who writes it scales down recipes so they serve two people, so her cookie recipes make around 6-10 cookies, or her cake recipes make 2-4 slices. You still get the fun of baking, but you won't have a zillion cookies lying around tempting you.0

story of my life. I can never have just one baked good of anything. I always end up eating 12 lol. same boat, so bump for some advice. most people will probably say.... then just don't do it. or they will say... will power just have one. lol . It's like one bite puts me in a robotic state where i cant stop once i start no matter how bad my stomach hurts... would love to hear other people's experience .

This sounds really good and like something that might work for me without triggering a 'must eat the entire bakery' craving. If I come off low carb again in the future, I'm trying it!0 -
Go to a bakery. They definitely sell one brownie or cookie plus they taste better.0

Only bake when you have company, feed them to your family, eat one and freeze the rest, take them to work, take one piece and sit down and make a big production of it, so it feels like a super-special treat.0

Done that, forgot to add it to the things I tried to help with my brownie craving, lol. Nope, didn't work, I even threw away the mix because frankly it was not satisfying at all.
I don't work and hubby's office doesn't have many people so I don't think it would be an option for him to take it there either. But yeah... must stop baking. I think that's pretty much the only solution (did I mention that it's my birthday in 6 days? I think I'll just have lunch with hubby and stop at the bakery for dessert).
I've checked rippedrecipes.com, but most of those ingredients I don't have and don't care for buying, so not really an option. And I think I'd just rather have the real thing.
There are a couple good bakeries in the area, but they don't have brownies or good chocolate cakes, for some reason. Only the bad bakeries do, and I don't think I'd want to waste my calories on that.0 -
