Hello everyone, I never did a detox cause I hate veggie juices ! But I stumbled on this article on LiveStrong which had a way to detox using 7 simple rules.
I am on day 3 now, the first day was the toughest with no coffee
Rules are, in a nutshell :
1- No alcohol
2- No dairy
3- no meats , not even fish or seafood
4- no wheat products
5- no refined sugar
6- Eat more raw uncooked foods
7- no caffeine in any form
I feel lighter, fresher , less bloated. Still 4 more days to go ! Wish me luck, and tell me if you tried it or want the article

So, what happens after the 7 days?
What exactly are you detoxing? (considering our bodies do that all by themselves, everyday)0 -
"Detoxing" only really happens when someone gets thrown in jail after being arrested for drunk driving and failing.
Other than that, all "detoxes" are nothing more than abstinence from higher calorie food/drinks for a short time. Nothing "detoxed" just a feeling of accomplishment that lasts until they start eating regular food again and watch some the weight return.

I would feel lighter and less bloated too. But not in a good, sustainable way. Besides...coffee.0

I'm having a hard time discerning which of these 'detox' posts today are sarcastic April Fool's jokes and which ones are sincere.0

Hi all, excuse my late responses as it seems I didnt get notified by email when I got replies
Anyway, I am all done with this trial for 5 days, the results:
1- I lost 2.6Kg (5.73 pounds) in 5 days
2- I felt less bloated, lighter, and surprisingly more concentrated (despite the lack of coffee!)
I'm a coffee craze as well, it was only the first day where I felt a blasting hang over-like headache, but the next day it was all gone.
It was quite a challenge trying to create vegetarian recipes when I would always consume either meat, chicken, or fish every day! But it was part of the fun
Would I try it again later on? Yup0 -
Hi, OP. You have successfully lost 5 pounds of water weight. The majority of it is going to come back when you start eating again. But don't worry. Just start doing this in a sustainable way and it will stay off. Calorie deficits work wonders!0

detox=I never understood that term, I have added a shake in the morning, made of kale, a piece or apple , water , lemon and carrot, taste bleuchh, but 3 days in I felt so good, probably because I don't rally eat veggies, water weight comes off with those fads, that's about it, ur liver will thank you for the no alcohol , me water helps me feel great good luck its hard0

Hi, I agree with the "feel good" part, I was thinking its just some article with some weird program, but I actually really felt "different" when I cut out lots of those foods and caffeine. I don't drink anyway so it was easy sticking to that rule lol0 -
Succinct and correct as always, Trogs!0
