Lost 64 Pounds in just under a year and i have only 29 or so till i hit my goal but i have so much more energy this year than last year and i feel awesome0

Started 203lbs. Lost 32 lbs since Jan 1st, so 171 currently. Would like to get to 140. (5'5")
Definitely about changing for ever rather than a diet and although still have a long way to go, I am very happy with my progress so far. Find this forum really motivating and totally addicted.0 -
I started at 238lb on 22nd July 2013 - am now down 51lb. It would be more, but it's been a hard couple of weeks. Just over halfway to goal, and am expecting it to take another year.
There are times when I'm all "I just want to be thin!!!", then I remember that a 50lb+ drop is no mean feat. I've been pretty consistent (with some feast days thrown in - my only sister's wedding and Christmas (my birthday) for example), and have been steadily upping the exercise as the weight's come off. This seems to be the secret to my success so far.0 -

I've lost 20 lbs in 3 months. Mainly portion control & no sweets. Adding in some exercise now to speed it up! Goal is to lose 20 more by June, but I'd be pretty happy with 15 ☺️

I am currently down 98 lbs from when I actually started on October 1, 21012. I was 270lbs at that time, however I was 279 at my highest in Jan 2012. I joined MFP in Jan of 2013 and am 2 lbs from my goal of weighing 170 lbs. I am 68 yrs old and 5"8 ". I don't really want to be thin, just healthy. I went from a 3X top to a ladies large and from a 22 pant to a 12 since October of 2012.
I have read all the posts under this topic and I would just like to say that age, amount to loose and health all will contribute to a persons weight loss. I was addicted to regular Pepsi for many years and since I started in Oct 2012 I have maybe had 2 Pepsi's and 2 Root Beer's. I do not drink anything but plain water and have done that for over a year. When I first started I gave up Pepsi and dropped 10 lbs a month for the first 3 months. Then the work started. Right now I am happy to loose 1 lb every 2 weeks. The closer you get to goal the harder your body will fight to hold those last 10 lbs.
I wish everyone success in their battle and hope that you all realize that this is a life style change and not a quick fix diet.
Wow!! I am 37, but could have written some parts of your post! I am also 5'8" and my goal is around 170 lb. I have gone from 3X to XL and 22 to 14 (I weigh 190 now). My HW was 307 though.0 -

I just hit the bottom of my goal range this morning, coincidentally as I hit 250 days logged. So 36 pounds in ~36 weeks, the last half set at a half pound or less target.0

Today is my 669th day here.
Started June 6th, 2012 @ 275 (am 5' 5.5", 54 yrs old)
On day 640 I hit my goal range (giving myself a 5 lb leeway so I can eat & not freak out the next day if the scale goes up)
My MDs say to not go lower than 140 lbs.0 -
