Hi there!
I recently started putting more focus on doing weights over cardio. (I've been doing weight in my routine for around 7 months now so I don't think it will be water weight.) I eat around 1600-1800 cals a day. I am the same size and all my clothes still fit but I have gained a few pounds (3-4). Could this be building muscle?
Thanks

Likely is muscle. Once you're near or at the goal weight, the scale is a lot less important than body fat percentage.
Under the BEST of all conditions, men can build a half-pound of muscle per week, women about a 1/4 lb a week. Sounds like you're doing it right.0 -
7 months? Yes, you're gaining muscle. Not an appreciable amount, but most likely you're going through body recomposition.0
