Absolutely bizarre, but I was just thinking about this before I came on here. Peanut Butter Captain Crunch. Oh my gosh. I can't even have it in the house now (or any fun cereal really) or I'll just keep eating it.

Fav cereal - it's a toss up between porridge home made by Mum or Weetabix. Still love them both and feel comforted when i eat them but the porridge has been replaced by the Oat so simple golden syrup flavour - which is very yummy!

I had no idea that they ever made fruit-shaped ones! Yep, in the 80s they were round.

I will always remember them as those wonderful fruit shapes; the golden age of cereals.

I never realized Trix had ever been shaped!

And somehow Cookie Crisp escaped my list - that stuff was amazing.

And on corn pops - yup my son eats them still (as does dh), so they definitely still make them.

I totally forgot about that. But I do remember fruit shaped Trix as a kid as opposed to the round ball shapes it is now.

Oh, I remember Buckwheats! I liked them, too!

I wish they would bring back those cut-out records. They were pretty cool.

    Honey Nut, yo.

Shredded Wheat - The big ones that filled the bowl! Still love them. In the early 60's, there weren't so many choices and very few sugar sweetened cereals available. In the winter, I liked Cream of Rice. :flowerforyou:

Curiously Cinnamon/Cinnamon Toast Crunch (depending on location). I can't get enough of cinnamony stuff!

Strawberry Shortcake cereal was my absolute favorite. I'm an 80's kid!

Sugar Puffs..... mum only bought them every few months, they were expensive back then and would only last a day or two. I can't buy them as I know I'd eat the box in one go.

Super Sugar Crisp was my all-time favorite, hands down!

    But I also loved:

    Corn Pops
    Honeycomb
    Captain Crunch
and Raisin Bran. But I'd load it up with sugar and MORE raisins. :)

    Golden Grahams, yum!

When we were kids, we figured out the way to make those "sugared raisins", that were in Raisin Bran. You simply toss raisins in sugar.! More was more, and now, more is more to lose. Live and learn and live.

Count Chocula, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Pebbles... I liked Captain Crunch but man that stuff eats the roof of your mouth!
