I'm having a hard time understanding why you can't eat what he eats.
How many calories are you consuming per day? I'm getting a nagging suspicion it's too low (1200? Just a guess.). I only eat 1450 calories per day and I still eat burgers, tacos, meatloaf, pasta, etc. If I had to eat a salad for dinner every night, I'd kill myself. I eat pretty sizable portions as well and I don't go hungry all day in order to do that. Tonight we're having tacos....5 oz ground beef seasoned with homemade taco seasoning and low sodium tomato sauce, 1/4 cup yellow rice, 1/4 cup fat free refried beans, 1/8 cup shredded cheese, all on a regular ole flour tortilla - 495 calories, which is perfectly acceptable for dinner and fits into my macros even after my oatmeal breakfast, roast beef and shaved Parmesan sandwich lunch, and snack consisting of a boiled egg, light string cheese, and Greek yogurt. I'm eating normal non-diet foods and losing weight - and so can you.
Go grocery shopping with him and suggest getting healthier alternatives. Leaner cuts of meat, low-sodium versions of some foods, more fresh ingredients. That way you can eat dinners with your family and they can eat healthier as well. You don't have to be trying to lose weight to make healthier food options. I personally think it's a huge party poop when everyone is enjoying dinner while one person is snacking on lettuce because they're "dieting." Live your life!
Also, judging by your profile picture, you have no weight to lose. Maybe that's why he's not supportive - maybe he doesn't want you to be dangerously thin.0 -

Change can be hard for our spouses. The spouse who is moving on is "changing" the routine up and it's scary for them! They are not quite sure what is going on. I like the suggestion in joining your husband in making dinners together! It's fun and this can be quality time to spend together too! You just may inspire him with some new recipes too! Share with him how you want to feel better and want to eat a little healthier and try out some new recipes. Cleaner more lean protein dinners if this is what you are looking for. Sharing more of why you want different meals will help him feel accepted and will help him understand what it is you need.
I am a STAHM too with 2 young girls. I work out in my living room with DVD's and love it! It's been very cold this winter and this is what helped keep me active! I am currently doing Les Mills Combat and Body Beast!

Then how could he be mad that you can't eat what he makes? He, of all people, should know you need a special diet and if he insists on doing the cooking, he needs to take that into consideration.0 -
Just eat the burger without the bun, or the meat loaf without the sugary sauce. You could ask that he makes two veggie sides at every meal, like a green one and then another different color. You could offer to help with the meal by making a salad for everyone. And if you need to adjust the main portion to fit in your diet, just have something on hand like some chicken or salmon or something. That way you can eat his cooking, get everyone eating their veggies, and you can all enjoy it together. x0

Has he had mashed cauliflower or mashed broccoli? That is what I make for my friends and family all the time and they love it. x0

Have you tried cooking for yourself? I know that it can be intimidating, especially when you're used to having someone cook for you, but you should give it a go! You can even prep easy meals like salads and sandwiches ahead of time so you don't even have to think about it. It might even inspire your husband to eat healthier, too! I find it easiest when my whole household is involved.

Let's see you're an adult, you make choices... either make the choice that you will eat at a calorie deficit and get some exercise in or continue making excuses, which is also a choice to remain the same. Start taking responsibility for yourself and stop blaming your husband and whatever else.0

Hmm, this might have been helpful info in the beginning. Even still, you shouldn't restrict yourself to just salads for dinner. Like a few others have said, perhaps you could make dinner for the family, that way everyone can eat the same thing.0 -

Continue to communicate with your husband as you've been doing. You have to make time for yourself and your health. Crohns disease is serious and if certain foods aggravate the situation, than you need to avoid it. No discussion needed. I would personally accuse my husband of trying to kill me if he told me I had to eat something that would make me sick (btw, I'm divorced so don't take my advice on that one :-) lol) Your husband need to jump on board. Exercising together would be great for the two of you so he can still spend the time with you and you can get your exercise in. If he's not willing to do that, than you need to have your space. Maybe right after the kids go to school, you can go for a walk, he can shower, watch tv and you'll be back before he knows it. The two of you can cook meals together. Another great bonding activity. Experiment with different recipes. Maybe he can tweak the meals that he make to fit your dietary needs. My boyfriend is sensitive about my not eating his meals but he doesn't cook everyday either lol
As for the kids, my girls are 12 (almost 13), 11, and 8. I would absolutely leave them home alone to exercise. 12 is the legal age to babysit in my state. Or I would make them go with me. We have a lake nearby and state parks that the girls enjoy going to. Do you have something like that? Bike riding is another fun activity. You can also log onto youtube and find some great free workouts. I got my exercise in using home videos back when my kids were younger. Good luck!0 -

And just for reiteration, you could make it yourself. My husband does all the cooking for our family, too. Unless I want something different. Then I have to make it or go out and buy it myself.0 -

If the dinners your husband prepares are not healthy then I'd have a serious discussion with him about fixing that. Children need proper nutrition and they need to learn what a healthy meal is, so that when they hit their 30's they are not faced with having to lose weight. Or start preparing healthy meals for the family yourself. There really should be a reason to eat differently than the rest of your family just because you want to cut down on calories. Just have smaller portions.
If you are home all day, why don't you have time to exercise? I'm not being snarky, I just don't understand why you couldn't work some type of exercise into your day if you can set your own schedule.0 -
