Big boob help

I am new to this whole exercising thing and I cannot do anything that makes me bounce b/c it about kills my chest. I got some sports bra's and they helped some but the part of my boob that sticks out at the top now hurts on the up jump (say on jumping jacks).. I hope that makes sense... Does anyone have any ideas? suggestions? I would like to be more active but it hurts so bad.
FYI, money is tight and I cannot get any of those special order sports bras or expensive ones at the moment

You could always lift weights which won't cause any bouncing, and then lose weight through a calorie deficit from eating less and skip the cardio, or there's always swimming, rowing, etc0

I"m a DD almost an F and I, quite literally, feel your pain. A wise friend once told me "A girl can only run as fast as her boobs will let her"... TRUTH!! However, I have found a few things that help.
1. Double bra's. I wear a regular one with a smaller sport bra over top. This way I get support from the regular bra and control from the smaller sport bra. I have even thrown them in hot water and the dryer just to shrink them a bit so that they help to hold things together.
2. TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT tank tops with bra's. Again, support but jiggle reduction.
3. Ace bandages. Ok, this sounds terrible but it works as well. First, put on a regular bra then tightly ace bandage over to reduce the movement. I'll even finish with another tank or sport bra.
It can take some work to figure out just how to tame the girls but it can be done and without super pricey sport bra's. I have also found that since working out my chest muscles more, they are not only perkier but some of the previous movement during workouts seems to be calming down as well. Maybe the muscles are holding them better, maybe I'm just more used to it... I don't know but they can be tamed.

Definitely save up for a proper fitting sports bra. I assume you are busty. I have several shock absorber bras and they are great! And long lasting. My only problem is that they no longer fit because I changed, not because they wore out. I can safely job in my shock absorber. FYI I am a 34H.0

i double bra too but i wear two sports bras, one a size too small first then over that fits normally. works very well for me.0

this, pretty much, though even rowing causes some movement.
i just cram em into a lulu bra that is a size or 4 too small, wear a form fitting shirt, work the chest muscles and weight train. then i try to keep my heart rate on target with relatively low impact stuff like the elliptical or treadmill on hills. ive been known to run with my elbows literally holding them so i get your pain... recumbent bike is OK as well. but i really like this suggestion. small back E-F cup crew checkin in hurr.0 -

i'd really also like to thank this thread for making me privvy to this bra. its actually available in larger cup sizes! i also love the virtual boob bounce o meter. awesome. though watching it makes me almost feel pain.0 -
I am a G cup I wear an E in a Berlei sports bra then wear a couple of tight tops and do small sprints on the treadmill but mainly stick to the bike. Do circuits without jumping jacks...or get over it? I know that sounds mean but I think sometimes you just have to get used to a little bounce and deal. If you working out hard enough you won't notice after awhile.0

I also like that the regular bra keeps my boobs from touching each other a bit so it is not as hot with the sweat pool built up in there. My biggest problem is doing certain movements properly. A quick example is push ups or a lower plank (on your elbows). I can't get as low as I need to because my boobs are on the ground. (36G) any thoughts?0

I hate the "bounce" too-it can be painful! And possibly leads to loss of ligament/muscle support in older age.I change my exercises to reduce the bounce. The biggest goal is to MOVE, so when a program/video I am following calls for something like jumping jacks, I just do a big "side" step and arm swing each way. When they call for jumps, like jumping rope, I do a high knee step or a high leg kick. Your moves can be modified to reduce the "bounce" without sacrificing the burn. Also, scour Ebay frequently for sports bras you are interested in, I found some for less than $20 dollars that were over $70 brand new.0

I just push up until my boobs hit the ground, if you look into partial, it's actually kinda benificial to do partials.
As for planking, though I am the same size as you I don't seem to have a problem...do your boobs actually hit the ground on the elbow plank? perhaps just stick to the straight arm planks.0 -
2 things... stop jumping. I didn't do much jumping until I had lost quite a bit of weight. Also wear 2 sports bras. I have a sports bra and a top that has a built in bra and they hold me quite well. Yah I still don't do a lot of jumping, but I have been doing some jumping jacks lately.0

I just wear a high impact cheap one that's too small. Its a mare to get in but one the twins are in, they remain stationary!! Believe it cost me £10. Supermarkets like asda do sports bras for less than £10.
Mine covers the tops of my boobs (just) so maybe you need to look into something that's larger (covers more)
Am a 36DD, or E. Or F. Have all those sizes but usually wear DD.
Made the mistake of doing 30DS in a low impact sports bra. Ended up having to hold em!! Won't do that again...ouch!!0 -
I had mine cut up and resized. (Breast reduction is now covered by Canada's public health care.) the recovery took forever, but it was so worth it.
But if you're looking for a less extreme solution, my old technique was one light, stretchy sports bra with really good coverage in about my size against my skin, and a heavier more supportive one that was a bit tighter worn on top.0 -
I wear a G cup Panache sports bra and there is literally no movement going on in there while I work out - it's not the most comfortable thing in the world, I wouldn't ever be able to wear it all day, but I feel like it works well for this purpose. It was a lot of improvement from my last sports bra (apart from the ill fit it was also quite old and just... gave up I guess) so it's worth a try. Try visiting a place that specialises in bigger sized bras (for me that is Bravissimo) and they will be able to help!0

Panache and Shock Absorber are great (I'm a 34H). Check Amazon for lower prices. If you're in a real money pinch then you can double-up. I recommend a cheap-o Hanes underwire bra with a compression sports bra over top. No spillage or uniboob and plenty of support.0

Double bra-ing makes me want to cry.
A quality proper fitting bra is the answer. It is costly, but worth the investment. I sweat a lot and wash mine all the time and they are still good.0 -

If you have boob sticking out of the top of your sports bra, you don't have a big enough cup. Maybe trying going a size down and a cup size up. I find that a regular bra and a sport bra work well for me and I'm a 44DDD (hopefully that will start shrinking as I lose more weight :grumble: ).0

My sister used to do this and felt like it was effective (regular bra with sports bra over it). No answer for the plank question!0
