Stubborn lbs

A year ago I was very ill & was put on steroids for 6 weeks resulting in an immediate weight gain of 20lbs!! Since then I have tried all sorts to lose it. I was relatively active until an ankle injury. I was off exercise for 3 months which didn't result in any more weight gain thankfully. I tried detox diets & the clean & lean diet & while they help, it's only short term. I do have a weakness for the sweet stuff and decided that as the diet was never going to be perfect then I had to up the exercise. In January I started doing bootcamp twice a week. It's exhausting & really takes it out of me but I am determined to keep going. My diet has at times been better but never any worse than previously but my weight loss just doesn't seem to be happening. I have been taking bikini shots & can see a difference in my shape but the sucker is my clothes aren't getting any bigger... I am still struggling to get into my jeans after all of that hard work! I have decided I need to step it up & have started running the last couple of weeks for an hour so 3 x 1hr exercise sessions a week which I'm hoping will boost the weight loss but my body feels like it's falling apart as I am pushing so hard... I have another 35lbs to lose so it's not like I'm at the last 10lbs toughie bit, I am at a loss as to what I can do to lose the weight/dress size HELP!!

What is your MFP calorie intake goal per day & what goal is it based on? Are you weighing, measuring your food? The key to weight loss is calorie deficit. Exercise is beneficial in many ways but it won't make you lose weight if you're eating at/above maintenance.0

My calorie intake goal is 1200 and this is about what I eat daily. I have only just come back on here today after about 6 months away from it so haven't been tracking but tend to track anyway. My maintenance is 2030- I rarely eat to that level- just the occasional day where I overindulge slightly. Surely increasing calorie burn & not increasing calorie intake (or reducing) should result in weight loss... it just isn't0

The 1200 calorie may be a little low due to your exercise. It's more than likely the reason you feel like crap after a workout. Your body needs a balance of calories. On one hand, you need the calorie deficiency in order to lose weight. On the other hand, you need to give your body enough calories so it can burn the fat away. Re-visit your diet profile and select the appropriate activity and a decent weekly weight loss amount. Don't feel compel to select 2 lbs. per week. Try a lower amount and adjust as needed. Track, track, track! It is too easy to under estimate calories. This one of the main problems people have if they aren't tracking accurately.0

Are consuming less than 1200 calories per day and burning more than half thru daily exercise ??
If so, I suspect that your body is storing the limited amount of calories it receives as a survival tactic.
If you insist on exercising so vigorously, you'll need to add more calories to your diet so you body has fuel to burn.
If you prefer to limit your calories, light exercise should be effective.0
