I know that green tea is good for u and your metabolism, but how quick will it take effect to speed it up(week after u start drinking it every day or straight away maybe) and how many cups a day are needed for it to work properly? I've heard 5 cups a day will give u results but that's a bit hard if u love drinking water more than hot drinks.

If you don't ike hot drinks (I don't reallyy, either, drink your tea iced. I'm an iced tea fiend in the warmer months. I don't have any answers to your questions, though. Sorry0

Tea is not magic. It does contain some anti-oxidants, but it is not going to affect your weight loss unless it replaces food.0

A cup of green tea will speed up your metabolism 1%. This effect tops out at two cups (meaning if you drank 5 cups, your metabolism would go up only 2%). So if you drink 2 cups a day and burn 2000 calories, you'd burn and extra 40 from the green tea. Not enough to make a difference weight loss-wise.0

Green tea is good for you because of the anti-oxidants, however if you are drinking it to help you lose weight you should stop because it's not going to do much for you. I've been drinking green tea everyday since I was 6 years old, a lot of green tea, minimum 1litre a day just because we like it; BUT I have been obese most of my life (it started a few years after I started drinking the tea); so there's no weight loss thanks to the "miracle" tea. I lost a lot of weight when I changed to a healthy lifestyle watching what I eat and exercising. I drink the same amount of green tea if not less.0

I drink green tea regularly, but I don't think drinking that much is a good idea. If you didn't drink it regularly and got used to it before, it will keep you awake like coffee. If you drink 5 cups a day you won't be able to sleep, which is obviously not good for your body. I recommend 2 or 3 cups at max, preferably not in the evening.0
