not that I advocate doing low carb, but one can do it smartly.

If you aren't already, eating greens, cruciferious vegetables, and your fruit as berries (raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries in particular) maximizes the micronutrients and fiber you get from your 20% carbs and may contribute to an even better improvement in your numbers (nice work so far btw).

Thank you. I usually eat blueberries instead of strawberries. Most of my carbs come from either dairy or berries/veggies.

These are great results! Your A1C -- WOW! Great drop. Same with the Trig! I eat less carbs, and follow a Keto diet, so understand the benefits of low carbing. Keeping on doing what you are doing! Maybe next time, the doc will remove the metformin.

Congrats on following a healthier diet and becoming healthier YOU!

A couple people have asked where I get my carbs from. Here is a typical day:

    1 Tbs sunflower seeds
    2/3 cup raw baby spinach
1 1/3 cup mixed baby greens
1-2 oz each celery, carrot, radish, snow pea, cucumber
30 g blueberries or grape tomatoes

    1 container greek yogurt
1 oz almonds or natural peanut butter
    1-2 oz dark chocolate
    30-100 g blackberries or raspberries
1/2 - 1 1/2 cups asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, peppers, zucchini or corn

3 Tbs Coffee Mate flavored creamer
