coast to coast relay

Is there a coast to coast really? I think it would be tons of fun to take part in one and run a leg.

Maybe you are thinking of One Run for Boston, the LA to Boston relay?

I actually haven't heard of a coast to coast at all...maybe because I live in Oregon and our biggest is the Hood to Coast.

Why have I not heard of this before?
I'd love to be part of one.

I vote for either more info on one or some how we put one together.

We have an annual Coat to Coast here in the South Island of New Zealand...from Kumara Beach in the west to Sumner Beach, Christchurch in the east. ..

Well that sounds amazing and I would super extra love to do that one but as I live in the US, not as easy for me to take part in.

I'm in Montana. And slow as hell. But, I'd participate.

I don't know that speed would be a must. If it were to be broken down into like 10 mile legs and either one person could run one leg or a few people could split the official leg up. Hmmmm Something to think about.

I think I want to start small with a Ragnar. But I think an event where you run from coast to coast on a relay team would be an amazing experience.

Even if it isn't exactly a race so much as just a team effort. I don't know...sounds super fun to me!

haha. I'm slow, so I'm not much of a racer anyways. I like to label myself a party pacer. I think that it would be an awesome and amazing experience. Rent a van or a camper pile a group of people in it and take turns running and cheering each other on.

Even if it was like each state the relay went though had a team or two teams and communicated with the next team or had an online tracker or something...

There are websites that do online tracking.
Unsure if a GPS on a phone would work for this or not. Perhaps with some sort of app?

I'm sure that an app could do it. Particularly if there was actually a "baton" to pass. The gps could be with the baton and then it would automatically follow the current runner.

That might take some work to figure out but where there's a will, there's a way!
