I am new to working out, i have done the "first day " work out every six months or so, but thats pretty much it, one day then nothing.
I just got the xbox kinect game that tracks your body and such but havent even taken it out of the box yet, not to mention the xbox is connected to the tv at the end of the bed rather then the living room. Not to mention i feel a little foolish doing things like that with people in the house, and there are 4 of us.
Thats pretty much all i know.
I work a 9-5er sitting at a desk i cant leave ( literally even have to call for someone to come to the desk so i can leave for the restroom ) and DO NOT do mornings so no early to rise and workouts happening here.
bad knees and back due to the extra weight so need to shed a few before i can get into the hard core stuff. Walking is really hard and running just aint happening.
Any low to no cost ideas?? I am committed to lossing the weight, but i know if i push too hard in the first few days i wont go back for another few.

Walk. You can do it anytime, anyplace, whenever the time works best for you. Walk at a challenging pace, include hills if possible, and increase your walking time as your progress.0

I bought the Biggest Loser workout dvd. Theres different levels depending on what your ready for. I have injuries to both knees from a car wreck many years ago so I baby my knees but the Biggest Loser workouts keep you working in upper and lower body so its no over load in one place. And strength training that builds muscles burn fat so you'll see and feel results pretty quick (to keep you motivated). I got the dvd used at the movie stop and instead of weights when needed I use soup cans. The workouts take about 35-40 mins. I'm not an exercise rocket scientist but its a no brainer for me! I need that. Way too much going on around me to have to lament over an exercise plan. Just gotta do it and get it done.0

Hi! There are lots of good (and short) low-impact workouts to be found online--including some indoor walking ones (Leslie Sansone's, for example).
Here are some videos from youtube:

These 3 equal her 2 mile Walk Away the Pounds for Abs. (They use her walk belt but you don't really need it--or you can use hand weights.)

These 2 are 1 mile each.
You can also check out Prevention.com and some other health magazines for ideas. Almost all of them have videos or printouts.
Hope you find something you can use. (I, personally, use a LOT of Leslie Sansone's videos.)0
