Yes, slice it up for sandwiches and deliver to a shelter or have the family pass it out themselves. I have done that before and it felt really good.

There is another avenue to get rid of the leftovers and help out.

I made Lasagna this year. It was untraditional and I took a little flack for it, but.....I do the cooking and I wanted Lasagna.

Anyways, had a lot left over. Yesterday my daughter went out shopping with 3 of her friends. When they came back from shopping, they were hungry...fed them all. They loved it. I loved feeding them.

I say find a skinny looking dog - that way not only will you be skinny - you'll also have a loyal sidekick.

Don't throw it away. No sense wasting perfectly good food, but.....

I can't advocate throwing it out, but I know I am hammed out, I don't think it's particularly bad for you, but I understand not wanted to eat it for weeks, so maybe you do have to freeze portions or pieces to use in soup, omelets...
