Yes, slice it up for sandwiches and deliver to a shelter or have the family pass it out themselves. I have done that before and it felt really good.0 -

There is another avenue to get rid of the leftovers and help out.
I made Lasagna this year. It was untraditional and I took a little flack for it, but.....I do the cooking and I wanted Lasagna.
Anyways, had a lot left over. Yesterday my daughter went out shopping with 3 of her friends. When they came back from shopping, they were hungry...fed them all. They loved it. I loved feeding them.0 -

I can't advocate throwing it out, but I know I am hammed out, I don't think it's particularly bad for you, but I understand not wanted to eat it for weeks, so maybe you do have to freeze portions or pieces to use in soup, omelets...0
