Hi.
I am a support worker and I am on my feet at work.I have set my activity level at Light as this matches my job.
However I do not know what to set my non work days at.If I'm honest on my days off I do nothing lol I exercise but apart from that I tend to just chill in the house watching TV and telaxing as I am normally tired from my shifts.I do of course do venture out some days. So I am wondering if on my days off I should leave my activity level at light or change to sedatary?!
What would people recommend??
Thanks
Karen

Set your activity level to how you spend the MOST of your time. For me-weekends do not represent the majority of my time.0

I would say lightly active is your average.
You might actually be moderately active while at work and sedentary on your days off.
If that is not helping you lose, try one of two options.
1) Lowering your calories by 100, but only if you don't get too hungry.
2) If your goal is to lose 2 lbs a week, lower your goal to 1 or 1.5 lbs per week. Sometimes we cut our calories too much and our body hangs on to everything it has.
What is your goal to lose per week? And what is your daily calorie goal?0 -
I'm a TSS worker for autistic children and I'm set at light activity. And most of the time I'm sitting with them with just a walk down the hall each hour. Lightly active works for me even and it sounds like you are on it feet more than me. On my weekends I only really do laundry (sitting while it's in) and unload dishwasher lol. Sometimes I go out to fleamarkets but nothing really active either0

Forgot to mention I began to lose more when I switched to active. I heard not many people at all are sedentary. Unless ur job is sitting for 8 hours m-f then come home and sit more lol0

I work 3 days a week doing 13 hour shifts and as I say my days off are pretty non active.Just lying about chilling out watching movies lol
My goal is 1.5lbs a week which at light activity gives me 1340 cals a day which is more than plenty for me more so the days that I work.
I will leave it at light activity all the time and see how I go.If not I will follow the suggestion and if no luck maybe cut back 100 cals on my days off to account for the inactivity.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
