Did you wait to resize your rings???

I have my rings on a necklace. I found a costume set for $10 or so and have been wearing that for a couple months. But, it's almost time for a new set again! I'm not getting my real ones resized for another 50 pounds or so.0

Same thing happened to my fiance. I got her a little insert from the jeweler which slips into the ring and is adjustable. Once she hits her goal, then we can get it resized. Cost $15. Much cheaper then resizing.0

I would wait. My jeweler had a little band he he put on the rings to adjust size until I lost all the weight the last time.
I would just ask a jeweler.0 -
I would wait! I am having the opposite problem. When I got my wedding ring sized, I was smaller and had lost weight. Now, I can get the ring on.. but it's so tight I have a really hard time getting it off. I am waiting until I lose the pounds. You don't want to keep re-sizing over and over.
I hate not wearing it at all.. but it's more motivation for me to keep going!0 -
A lot of my rings don't fit either and that includes my wedding band. But on the plus side I wear my mom's wedding band which fits perfectly and keeps her near me since I have lost her 4 yrs ago.0

Since my ring is Titanium, no. I went ahead and bought a new, smaller sized, ring. My fingers are kind of bony now, so I thought it would be safe, plus the new ring is a little tight. I could've traded in the old ring, but the sentimental value of it being the ring we wed with was worth much more than the $100.00 to replace it.
This...I can't resize it...but I can get it replaced for 35$ if I want...instead I am getting a ring sizer in it. It's a small band with springs that goes on the inside of the ring and on the back side of it...so you don't see it...
It ensures that my ring will be tight and wont fall off...0 -
My rings are at least 2 sizes to big now. I do wear my engagement ring but i worry about losing it. I said to OH that at least he will be able to get the ring on my finger easily on the big day Probably wont get re-sized until I have reached my goal weight and will change fingers or wear on a chain once they get too big to wear.0

One way to reduce size of rings without damaging the shank is the method used for people with skinny fingers and large knuckles. Have little balls soldered into the inside of the ring.
This is what I was gonig to suggest. Ring guards are great but when I had one I found it actually slightly damaged the band on that ring so to me adding the balls is a better solution. It also helps keep the ring in place so the stone is always presented instead of sliding around to the side.
Another option I sometimes do is just wear switch the ring to my middle finger since it's a bit thicker so the ring won't slip off.0
