Call me crazy, but this post is in response to a thread from about a year ago. I haven't been on the forum since reading that, but have been bothered by the thought of it off and on this whole time.
"Laugh at me for wearing a banana clip, or the wrong style jeans or shoes, but ask yourself; would you laugh at the color of my skin, my disability or sexual orientation? Until we become a people who TRULY judges a person by the content of their character and NOT the content of their wardrobe, garage or bank account, then we will never be a people of peace and understanding. You can not understand the way a person lives and still respect that that person lives."
Maybe now that I've got that off my chest, I can leave it behind.

Are you intolerant of people apathetic toward fashion fads? I'm confused.

I would also assume that there are a lot of people here that can be thankful that it comes in liquid form...

I am pretty confused by this topic. I am almost 34 years old and I have never had an over abundance of money, nor did any of my friends. I think back to even high school and yes you had your clicks, but I never witnessed anyone being picked on because they didn't have name brand clothes... I just bought my first pair of chanel sunglasses a few months back and I had to save my hard earned money to buy them. I bought them because I like them, not because of what anyone else thinks. I am completely baffled by this, that you would be so bothered by something for a year that you have been stewing on it and needed to post about it. If I am misunderstanding please correct me, but maybe you should not worry about what other people think so much... And surround yourself with people who are humble and who love you for you, not what you wear....

ETA that this is the internet, and if you are bothered by a post from a public forum for over a year, maybe the internet is not for you...

I understand your point, but I have a problem comparing racism to someone thinking you have ugly jeans.

Personally, I prefer the chocolatey, nut-buttery form... but hey, you do you, it's all good.

Gotta add, who would be dumb enough to laugh at somebody with one of these?

I'm much more comfortable laughing at someone for the choices they make than for their genetic makeup.

I hear you:-) Have you seen SNL's "Mom Jeans" skit? That always makes me laugh!! But, really I wouldn't make fun of someone because of mom jeans...fashion always makes a comeback.

Wow, you've been upset for a year over someone on the internet not liking banana clips...
