Just a comment about butts. If you have to genes for a good bootie, it will happen. If not, well you have to try to build and shape what you have, But if your *kitten* is flat, well, there's not much that can be done aside from banging out the little muscle that is in the glute and go from there. Even if it's flat, it can still be tight.
Not true. The glutes are just like any other muscle in the body. With the right diet and the proper training they can grow just like any other muscle can.
ETA....my apologies. Genes DO make a difference. But if you don't have the genes, you can still build it. It's not impossible. Hard, yes. Impossible, no.0 -
I got 4 posts in and that's all my brain could handle. Is there a cliff's version or should I not bother?
The cliff's version is the OP thinks there are certain exercises that will give you Beyonce's butt and others that will give your a Physique Bodybuilder's butt and yet a third set that will give you a fitness model's butt.
She isn't really listening to the solid advice given here because she seems to be obsessed with obtaining Beyonce's genetic DNA makeup.
I'll jar it and sell it. There has to be a way...
I'd buy it. Especially if her income came with it

Yes i know that genes make the difference and i know that its hard...but i want to make my butt smaller because it isnt flat ....it is a little too rounder and i dont like it0 -

ive read all the posts a lot of time and i would like to thank all the people who replied me , so summarizing:
1. the exercise i posted are good for what im looking for
2. figure=/= bodybuilding
3. woman who lifts weight will not become suddenly a man
4. ive to eat 2300 calories a day ( but i still dont know how can i eat them.... they are a lot for me:frown: )
5. one exercise can give you an infinite tipes of body shape
6. I should go to the gym 5 times a week
but i still not understand:
1. What will happend if i dont reach 2300 calories a day
2. and why should i have to take a day rest after workout
3. what's OP meaning ?
PS: I dont want a body like beyonce but a body similar to her. I dont want her DNA or face. Beyonce is only an example0 -
Also, the girl in that photo is leaning forward and really arching her back, plus using a pretty low camera angle. Her butt would not look like that if she were standing normally.
So don't compare your standing-normally butt to her bent-over-back-arched-low-angle butt.

To answer your questions:
1) Calorie intake determines how much muscle you grow, everybody's caloric requirements are different. For some people they gain on 2300, for some people (myself included) they lose on 2300. Do you want to gain weight, stay the same, or lose weight? If you want to lose size in your butt, I'm assuming you want to lose a bit of fat? I would advise a small deficit. Nobody here can tell you what that amount would be. It's trial and error. Try out 2000 if you think you can't eat 2300 and adjust as necessary. If it's too little, you'll lose too quickly. If it's too much you'll gain.
2) Rest days are important because your CNS (central nervous system) needs a break, and resting is the time when you're muscles repair themselves (and grow if given enough calories) If you're constantly breaking down muscle in lifting, and not giving the opportunity for them to heal and grow back stronger/bigger then you won't make much progress, and risk injury.

Yes it'll be tighter/more toned if you do weight lifting because you'll have more muscle there.
Even if you don't gain any because you're in a deficit and losing fat/weight, you'll be maintaining more muscle than if you weren't lifting while losing fat. A combination of both losing fat while maintaining or gaining muscle is what makes a person look more toned.0 -

Well if you want to lose fat then yes. You are quite light already, so I wouldn't really advise losing any weight. However, you said that you want to make your butt smaller, and a deficit should do that.
Honestly, at your weight I'd stay at maintenance and lift weights, your weight won't change but over time your body will, you'll look more toned and probably get the results you want. However, if there's fat you want to lose, go in a (small) deficit.

Many people think that certain parts of their body are too big, and they're tiny, it's based on how you view yourself. At your weight/height I can't see there being much to lose but that's your opinion.
In short:
If you want to lose fat/weight, eat in a small deficit (you'll get smaller)
If you don't want to lose any fat, eat at maintenance (your body may change slowly over time, with weights)
Regardless of what you choose, lifting weights will help the end result (more toned)0 -

when you pick up heavy things, your muscles get STRONGER (but not necessarily bigger). If you pump yourself full of testosterone and eat way more calories than you are burning every day, you will get bigger.
If you pick up heavy things, and eat a caloric deficit (and eat the right kinds of food – actual healthy foods), your muscles will get stronger and denser; you will burn the fat on top of your muscle, and you will get that “toned” look that you’re after.0
