I dont know if im posting this right?..Im new to the website. I just started Jan this year on lifting weights and protien shakes, Im on month 4 now and Im pushing myself so hard in the gym to where im just dripping sweat and breathless almost, and im not seeing any results, the scale doesnt move mostly up not down, it goes up and down in the same area of pds its so unmotivating. To be honest I just gave up alcohol too just reently for lent and fast food about the same time but giving up all those calories i really expected the scale to go down a whole lot more than when i was on fastfood and the beverages 8( and with all this i been eating pure health foods spinach, eggs, chicken breasts brownrice blending fruit smooties triple fruits and veggies that i ever ate in my life of course portions and still even measuring with tape no inches lost!!! how is this friggen possible? lossing motivation thinking i wana quit it seems pointless no lost pounds or inches 8(

How many calories do you eat per day?0

Yeah this isn't enough info to go on. Are you lifting heavy, aka maxing out at 8 reps per exercise, or doing the aerobic lifting thing (which I don't recommend for anyone) where you do a lot of reps for X amount of time? How much do you eat? What ratio of carbs/fat/protein? What do you weigh? What are your goals? Have you lost inches?
There's more to building muscle than not drinking alcohol and eating chicken0 -
Im Yes lifting heavy, i do like 15x5 reps. I eat 3 meals a days trying to keep my calorie count under 2500, inbetween meals ill drink a fruit smoothie to try reach the protien intake i need to see results I stopped taking the protein powder, in jan and feb i found out i was taking the wrong one that it had to much fats and carbs so i switch to one with less. im 5'9 ish inbetween 5'10 i weigh 205. I know its a lot, but im really trying here. No inches lost and the scale keeps going from 201 to 205 since Jan. Should i take meal replacements? how can i lower my calorie intake and try to get my daily protien intake? Im trying to get muscle tone and results but am I just to thick to see results LOL i cant take protien shakes i found out they make me break out 8( that sucks i play competitive sports too once a week, Am i jus not getting it??0

You eat at just under 2500 a day? No wonder you're not losing, that is a lot of calories.
Food high in protein; fish, seafood, chicken, turkey, beef, cottage cheese, greek yoghurt.
ETA I am 5ft 9" and eat around 2,000 a day and that's for maintenance0 -
how many meals is that 2000 a day? i may be jus a lil over 2500 should i jus eat the protien foods or lose a whole bunch before i weight train? but i want that mucle tone like soo much 8(0

Friend me and you can see my diary, if you like.
Keep lifting, it will help you keep your muscle whilst you lose fat. You are eating too many calories at 2, 500, imo, for losing weight.0 -
I do its all healthy, my count isnt exact when it comes to the meats for the protien i don not own i food scale, thinking maybe meal replacements than i can stay under 2000 thanks for the replies0

How much protein are you shooting for? You really only need about 100 grams a day. You can get that easily and stay under 2000 calories a day. I'm also 5'9" and 155lbs. I lose about a half pound a week at 2000 calories a day. You shouldn't need to do meal replacement shakes or anything. Also get a whey isolate protein powder. That'll give you the most protein for the calories.
Also, go buy a food scale. They are cheap.0 -

It doesn't matter if it's "healthy". If it's more than you are burning per day (every day activities and exercise) you will gain; if it's the same amount you burn, you will maintain your weight.0 -

You are eating too much. Find your TDEE and eat 10-20% under that.0
