Anyone eating 1200 cal daily?

I wanted to find friends who are also on the 1200 cal routine, for more inspiration of foods I could possibly eat during the day and for inspiration :)
Ive been doing it for about 4 weeks and have lost 7 lbs
I am now 116lbs and am aiming for 105 -100 lbs since im pretty short (4'11)

    Believe it or not, I'm eating about 1200 calories a day. It definitely takes some creative eating. Look forward to speaking to you.

    I heard that after you eat more than what your body is used to you gain weight right? Well im thinking once i hit 100 lbs ill increase it to proabably 1400
    And I dont mind if I gain another 10 pounds after and I'll proabably not eat anymore than 1400 on a daily basis,^-^
    I do work out too

    You may gain water weight, which is linked to your body storing more glycogen. This is generally what people mean when they say 'I went from eating 1200 to 1500 calories and now I'm gaining weight!!!!'. You won't gain fat on that increase.

    i'm on a 1200 - 1400 calorie diet and i'm seeing a nutritionist She is helping me make sure that i'm eating all the right things. Due to health issues and very limited mobility my body does not require as many calories and I've been struggling to lose weight at these calorie levels, i have found by experiment that if i stay closer to the 1200 then the 1400 i can lose weight but it's been a struggle and takes me a long time to lose weight. I've been counting calories since the middle of January and as of today i have lost 23 lbs. Most people my size can lose 5 lbs or more in a week but that is not how my body works.

    I find it hard to get in 1200 calories some days but that is because i used to drink most my calories and i'm weening myself from drinking soda but once in awhile i treat myself to a diet pepsi now instead of a regular pepsi. I'm also drinking my tea with sweetener instead of sugar.

    HI there, we have the same goals I have been trying to eat only 1200 calories a day as well as working out although I do go over sometimes, I weigh 110 now and want to lose just five more, I am only 5'1 but a year ago I weighed 134 pounds.

    I eat 1200 but I also try not to get too down on myself if I have a hungry day and hit 1400 or so. I always aim for the 1200, but maintaining a deficit is the most important to me. If I dip below 1200 I tend to just get dizzy and hangry. Not good.

    I'm on 1220 but I stay under the calorie count faithly and even when my exercise adds to my calorie count. You can do it!!!

    Anyone who eats under 1800 calories a day is stupid and hurting they're metabolism. Look up metabolic rate and understand before you do this.

    Not only are you wrong, but you're also just being rude. 1800 is barely a deficit for me based on the BMR and TDEE calculators that I've used.

    I don't eat 1200 calories every day--maybe once a week. I regularly get 1500 - 1700 per day depending on my workout schedule. If you don't plan to eat 1200 calories a day for the rest of your life, I would suggest you increase it just a little bit.

    How many calories do you burn a day?

    HI,

    I'm eating 1250 a day and actually end up going over that by about 100 because of my two glass of wine habit. I eat all kinds of completely normal food in small portions. I buy a ton of those little baby bell cheese packets, perfect snack breakfast food along with lots of hard boiled egg Lost of salmon 3 oz size pieces, and switching that up with some other white fish. If I have a sandwich it's one piece of bread only. I have small handfuls of walnuts with salads that adds fat and is very satiating. I had steak the other night it was a 4 oz piece completely delicious. I had a steak burrito with lots of salsa last night. I feel like I'm eating better then I ever did. I started about two months ago, but have only been on the site about 2 weeks. I'm losing about 1.5 + pounds a week. I'm happy to share my food tracking just friend me. Also, Trader Joe's rocks with lots of foods easy to track, keep frozen. Great frozen veggies. I have a giant pineapple right now in my kitchen I can't wait to cut up and snack on. Hope this helps to know.
  • 1200 is hard to do. I have my official goal set at 1200, but I look at that as the minimum I should eat per day. I find eating little treats like organic suckers throughout the day prevents me from feeling deprived. Good luck! :-)

    This post makes me sad... I eat 1200 calories by mid-afternoon. I try to eat 1500-1800 a day and I exercise 3-5 days a week. So far I'm still losing. THANK GOD I'm tall - I don't think I could manage on just 1200 a day!

    i'm doing anything between 1000-1200 as long as I get mah proteins carbs and fats in for the day :D feel free to add haha
