^^^LOL! Oh Im not pleasant afew days before I start..the bloating is over by then..but I ride a hormonal emotional roller coaster..my poor husband..:(..

Anyway..Leading Muscle, I try to keep my sugar low and I have cut WAY back on anything wheat based..as referenced earlier by someone else..the "whites" do it to them..well, Ive essentially cut almost all white carbs out of my diet..because I HATE the way they make me feel. I may have a small piece of italian bread with butter every now and then..seems like alot of signs are pointing to dairy..:(

So, this presents another quandry..I was pleased with my dairy consumption for the calcium (osterporosis runs in my family)..so..I guess if it is dairy, I will be looking at a calcium supplement.

GretaGirl, thanks..I will look for the cereal when I grocery shop this weekend..mabey give it a try. Im pretty sure my fiber intake is lower..I think most of the general population is!
  • Do a quick Google search on "elimination diet" - your gut may need to heal from food sensitivities/intolerances. This was happening to me all. the. time. for a few years on end.. it wasn't until I realized that I have an intolerance to gluten and sensitivity to dairy that things started getting better.

A few other things to think about are sugars/sugar alcohols in the diet - especially if you may have a candida overgrowth. These can cause bloating and intestinal discomfort and until you get the yeast under control, it won't improve.

Reach out personally if you want to chat further about this - I have a number of resources that might help.

I always go to bed bloated, after my evening meal and oatmeal. I am guessing it is normal for your tummy to swell a bit after a big meal?

I also find I can no longer tolerate peanuts(sad face) or lentils and chickpeas without suffering extreme gas and bloating.

I didn't read every post but does your EAS shake have sugar alcohols by chance? They are evil! Any time I eat something with sugar alcohols I get bloated, gassy and very uncomfortable. It usually happens within a few hours of eating/drinking. I refuse to have anything with them in it.

You should talk to your doctor about it. Do you still have your gallbladder? Ever have attacks? Do you have acid reflux? Those things can make you feel bloated and cause burping. Before you start eliminating anything from your diet, you should just talk to your doctor and find out if there's a medical issue.

good luck. regarding your calcium...almond milk has just as much or more calcium than cow milk. yes, calcium supplements are also another option. also, tums have calcium.

Thank you all for the thoughts..

Whats a sugar alcohol? sorry..not familar with that..I will look though. I just started the EAS and bloated before that when I used slimfast.

I will google elimination diet. Its interested, when I weighed more and my diet was not as good, I always felt tired, heavy and bloated..when I REALLY ate clean, it stopped..(chicken, tuna, whitefish and veggies) now I eat alittle more varied diet, due to hubby being home..and I feel like Im getting bouts of it back..ugh I hate this!

I woke up feeling pretty light this morning..but considering I couldnt eat dinner last night due to a huge huge fight I had with hubby..no wonder..:(..I cant eat if Im upset or stressed...:(

I do still have my gallbladder..Im not sure what an attack feels like though? Im going to call and make a dr apt today.

You'll feel pain in the upper right part of your abdomen, below your chest. There are several medical issues that can cause bloating after eating and excessive burping. I immediately thought of acid reflux and gallbladder disease because they can cause those symptoms after eating almost anything. There's also irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes, ulcers, and a host of other issues that can cause those symptoms. If you're having any pain or discomfort, nausea, excessive urination, etc then you should also mention those to your doctor. Hope you get everything settled :)

I have this issue with certain protein powders but not all of them. They do make some with digestive enzymes in them. I also have IBS and at first dairy triggered it but not so much anymore. Greek yogurt never bothered me though.
