    that's not a cat!

Of course, not, it's MUCH cuter than a cat!

Well now I'm equally frustrated, I can't see what this is! Stupid school server. :grumble:

Of course I can't actually see my *cat*shark right now either, but I've spent enough hours mesmerized I can effectively picture it in my tiny fishy brain.

I think have a new pet peeve or two: people complaining about all of the negativity on MFP forums and whining about topics being posted under the wrong categories.

I'm not saying those people are wrong, but it's not very interesting to read.

oh oh I got one..people that complain, about the complainers, in a complaining thread.....

    just aint the business

    "ain't" ain't a word:)

    lies

    How about 'taint?'

Taint is a word, it's that little area that lies between your hoo-ha and your bee-hind. "taint your hiney, taint your vaginey...."

Thanks. That's exactly how Urban Dictionary defines it, as well.

    1. When people write "pds" after a numerical value instead of "lbs". Correct me if i'm wrong, or maybe this is a regional thing...but i always thought it was "lbs".

It is lb not lbs. You are not supposed to pluralise units of measurement.
    4. Pictures of you sweating after a workout. We get it, you worked out hard and congrats on the hard work ! But sometimes, those sweaty pics just aint the business.

Post-workout photos are motivating and sexy. Who are you to judge what is or isn't 'the business'?
These are just some of my pet peeves that i come across on social media on a daily bases.

    basis not bases
I'm not out here to disrespect anyone.[/b]

Because she's human? She was talking about pet peeves, things that get under her skin... not things that derail her life and send her into a fit of rage.

My dad's fighting cancer, so far so good, and the diagnosis literally sent me into shock for three days. However, petty little thins will still get under my skin.
A manager saying something one way to the employees, then turning around and saying it a different way to her superior in order to make us look incompetent and her a saint among the tainted? Petty. Really, really petty. Nonetheless, one of those things that gets under my skin and makes said skin crawl like I have a million tiny ants on me.
Do I have bigger problems? Oh yes. Does it mean I don't have little irks? Not at all.

Meanwhile in another post, MireyGal76 completely disagrees with this point....

    ......

    4. Sweaty gym pics... ones that scream "I just busted my *kitten*, i feel so ALIVE, and here's proof,"! I love workout pics. I love seeing how people are working hard, and getting their sweat on.

    .....

These are just some of the things that i come across on a daily basis that give me smiles.

    That's awesome.

Funny....there are two "Pet Peeve" threads on here, yet the other one doesn't have anyone accusing the OP of being negative or calling them out for posting it in the first place. Wonder why?

I have been confused by the picture before/after being swapped, but the poster will usually say something about it being swapped. Also I did not know it was lb, not lbs. I will stop doing that.

The only peeve I have is when people try to give you unsolicited advice when you've clearly done well with losing weight or spout off some gimmick or myth.

Omg, this. Especially when I was in peak shape. I'd mention what I was working on, and then someone would recommend some pill that was boasted on air by Dr. Oz or some nonsense.

    Ugh.

This is the "Chit-Chat, Fun, and Games" board, so whether we share OP's pet peeves or not, she did post it in the appropriate board.

My pet peeve is that people, mostly women, treat me differently now that I'm thinner, and not always in a healthy or positive way.

I know, right? Like my dad having a stroke and being diagnosed with cancer in a three year time span, and my mom being diagnosed with a whole host of health problems in the last year. Losing someone I would most likely be married to (and having children with) by now, four years ago.
    World Poverty.
    Child Slavery.
    Sex Trade.

SO much to get ragingly upset about.
However, the OP was referring to irks. Pet Peeves. Admittedly petty things that get under her skin.
I have pet peeves. I also have a whole bunch of personal mountains I am fighting to get up and over. Doesn't mean I don't also have petty issues with petty things. I'm not asking for a medal here, I'm just trying to make you see that she has a right to feel the way she does about the things she does. These were fitness-related pet peeves of hers- and we ALL have them whether or not we want to admit it.

People need a reality check when they think that their life struggles mean other peoples pet peeves are a moot point.

But, oh, I have another one! The belief that someones point is irrelevant because of their height-weight-gender-color-creed.
    HUGE issue of mine. Huge.

i love when people are like "my life sucks" and then others just can't help themselves and have to play the Pain Olympics and tell them how much more their own life sucks. like an effing twisted competition that if you win, you lose.
