Good Ways To Mix Strength Training & Cardio???

I do Zumba most days, and was just wanting to throw in some strength training exercises after my Zumba workouts... So that I can build lean muscle and tone while still losing weight... What would be a good way to do that?

To optimize strength you wouldn't really want to combine...at most you would want to do these things on separate days or have plenty of time in between your cardio workout and your strength workout...like Zumba in the AM and your lifting program in the PM.

If you wanted to combine resistance work with cardio you would be best served to do some circuit training...mind you this trains muscular endurance and stamina more than it does strength; you aren't going to make substantial strength gains doing circuit work really but you will build stamina and endurance.

Youtube! I really love Blogilates, LiveStrongWoman (which can also introduce you to a lot of other gurus who have channels), XHIT, FitnessBlender, BeFit, Zuzka Light, and Tone It Up are good channels to look at. They have full body or specific area strength workouts and it should give you some ideas on what to do. And those would be very easy to fit in since there are a variety of videos with short and long sessions. So you could do a whole separate workout or just tack on a 10 minute video after Zumba. If you're looking for a whole program, I would look into Chalean Extreme. You could ignore the cardio days to do your Zumba and just do the 3 day a week strength training, or just do the whole program. Also look into Stronglifts. I like doing my cardio in the morning and my strength at night. Or you can alternate days.
