Definitely different music that I would usually listen to (I prefer Chevelle, 10 years, Perfect Circle, Breaking Benjamin, the Used etc), but this is my run playlist on spotify:

    Yeah! - Usher
    Gasolina - Daddy Yanky
    Whats your fantasy - ludacris
    Hot in herre - nelly
    Gel low - lil jon
    Temperature - sean paul
In da club - 50 cent
    promiscuous - nelly
    Like a g6 - far east movement
    right round - flo rida
    Right Thurr - chingy
    Tipsy - j-kwon
    Cyclone - baby bash
El tiburon - alexis and fido

I also occasionally run/workout while listening to stand up comedy radio (pandora), an audiobook, or my Zombies!run app. I can listen to any kind of music (my usual or my run list) while lifting. With running, the higher bpm music helps me run faster.

OMG I love lifting to this song...especially when walking back for heavier weight syncs up with the chorus. :smokin:

I am a diehard country music fan but for working out I have found that Pandora Brittney Spears station is super upbeat and fun to work out to!

The Drumcode podcast is generally quite good quality. Also, it's free on iTunes, so you can try it out with no commitment.

I listen to a lot of rock music, a lot of Shinedown, Three Days Grace, 3 Doors Down, Bush, Five Finger Death Punch, Linkin Park, Trapt and Breaking Benjamin. Then at a certain small gym I go to we only listen to classic rock.

And when I am in a silly mood I listen to Showtunes because I like theater.

    Nice!

anything fast, loud, heavy...All That Remains, Stone Sour, In This Moment, Pantera, and any of the above as well :)

I actually use a site called steady mixes.com and pick music by the BPM or type of workout I wanna do. The music is free and its got quite a variety. Not sure if they have an app for a phone though.

    Great site -- Thanks!
  • When I run I listen to Military Cadences, the kind drill Sergeants call out . I know it sounds weird but it keeps me focused on my breathing and my stride. My times have improved a lot since I started using it.
  • A couple of my favorites are Evenesence and Gwen Stefani.

I am new to Pandora this week and will be checking out some of the channels listed here. Thanks!

Yeah - Pandora has a lot of different themed fitness channels. Since I always have my phone with me for recording my walks/rides/runs - I might as well as use it for music too. I never have bought any ipod like thing yet. I don't listen to music while riding. I don't need the music for rides to keep me going.

I listen to Pandora through my phone as well, usually the Latin Workout station, but sometimes an Electronica-Pop station, or Dubstep, or 80's dance music. Mainly Latin though.

I go with Pandora Pop and Hip Hop Power Workout.

Thanks for this! Just added it to my list!

Me too, just added. Along with Bollywood workout! Heck yeah!! I already had a Bollywood station in there but I did not realize they had one with just the dance-y ones for workin' it!

    Trap music all day everyday

It's sorta like urban dubstep. Pandora has a trap station, give it a try.

They do suggest getting some beats that make you move. I am not a huge music person BUT I have been listening to some bangin country that makes me dance in my car so I figured hey why not get an iPod shuffle and put some tunes on it and try it when I work out. Can't hurt right?

Since I am also a country girl here is just part of my best country workout list:
anything by Eric Chruch with a beat such as "drink a little drink, smoke a little smoke" (which is not the best for a healthy lifestyle haha but it's a good song with some beat), "Hell on the Heart", "How Bout You", "Creepin", "keep On", "Lotta Boot Left to Fill"
Brantly Gilbert-"kick it in the sticks", "bottoms up", "country must be country wide"
Jarrod NIemann got me to run today, which i never run, with "I can drink to that all night"
Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan & Eric Church- "The Only Way I Know"
    Crawford County-"Work for Whiskey"

this list makes me sound like an alcoholic....haha.

    Pistol Annie's-"Hush Hush", "Takin' Pills"

Basically anything that is country that makes me want to scream while singing it (if i weren't in the gym anyway) or makes me want to punch someone in the face. :flowerforyou:
  • Remember the Name - by Fort Minor

It's a great song to run to.

Add some of the Georgia men!! Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Zac Brown Band, Kip Moore (if you want country), and you can always look up some workout mixes that are already made and get them. They usually have a pretty good beat and mix of songs :)

Personally I like metal because it gives me the aggression to kick through my workouts. :glasses:

How could I forget Zac Brown Band? Thanks!

i forgot him too! and i am listening to him now... :)
and brantly gilbert has some of that aggression, just sayin'. love him, kinda scared of him. haha.

I can't believe no one has said Girl Talk. He's a mash up artist and mixes together all sort of snippets and beats from popular (and not so popular songs). What he comes up with is amazing!
All Day and Feed the Animals are his two most recent albums and free downloads.
