At 140 lbs. you will probably look quite skinny. I'm 5'11" and my lowest was 137 lbs, but I felt weak and tired all the time. My comfortable weight is 158 lbs. When I go over that my stomach carries the weight. I have a mid size frame, so if you are big boned being 140 won't even look good on you. Take time to analyze your body frame, and that will help you decide your ideal weight.

I know what you mean. I've been as low as 137 and felt miserable. Your body has a way of telling you what is ideal. Right now I weigh 167 and I feel heavy, so I'm trying to get back to my comfortable weight of 158 lbs, but I'm in my 50's so I'm not sure how realistic that is.

I'm 6'0 and my goal is 165-170. When I get above 175, I get uncomfortable and below 160 I look sick.

I'm 5' 11, this past summer I was 163lbs, I'm currently 146lbs and my goal has always been 135lbs, but now that it's so close I have a better idea of where I'd like to be at, I think that I'd look and feel better at 140lbs rather than 135lbs..

I'm always so amazed by how much the lbs varies for people with the same height!

At 5'11 I'm happily maintaining between 170 - 175 at a size 8 / 10. Any higher and I can start to see the difference in my face and any lower and I start looking ill.

I want to get down to about 170! I'm also 5'11ish/6'0.

I'm 5 foot 10, and my goal is a healthy 150. I'm just under 170 now. When I was working at a gym with a trainer I hovered around 150 and it was a very comfortable weight, I felt strong and didn't have any weird rubbing of my skin. Everyone is different though! I have two older sisters who both are 5 foot 10 and weigh 135, and 130. That is healthy for them and 150 is healthy for me!

I'm between 5'9" and 5'10" and my current goal weight is around 160 (157 to be exact).
157 was my lowest weight and I thought I looked great. I wouldn't mind being a little more than 157 if it meant I was more muscular and toned.

I am 6 ft and my goal weight is 160. I have been this weight before and felt my best at this weight. Not too hard to maintain and still feel lean and feminine.

5'10 and my goal is really where I feel comfortable in my own skin. I am currently around 140 and aiming for around 133-135.

I'm 5'11" and aiming for about 168. I think ideally I'd like to be lower, but I have no idea what I'll look like when I get that far so we'll see.

Wow. The weight range is so HUGE. I'm a little shorter -- 5'9" and am currently a size 10 at 179. I'm looking to be 155-165 and for me, that's between a size 6 or 8. If I get in the 140s, I look scary, but I'm banging around 155. I'm just so surprised that so many women taller than me are aiming for 140s -- I already have 127 lbs of lean body mass, so 140 would be less than 10% bf (provided I don't lose too much LBM and I'm really trying not too).

Check out mybodygallery.com and you'll see a huge range of weights and sizes. For 5.9, I saw folks between 135-160 that looked amazing. You can search by height, weight, etc. It's pretty awesome. When I get to my goal weight, I'm submitting a pic.

I'm 5'10" and 148, wanting to get to 135-140 but I've never had very much muscle. I'm hoping to gain muscle so my goal might not e as low as I think :)

125 is extremely underweight for your height!

I'm 5'10" and looking to get back to the 160-170 range. I feel like I looked and felt best there. Hopefully once I get my weight down in total I can then work on getting my muscle mass up and bf% down. Long ways to go though......ughh

I am 5' 9" and for me my goal weight is 180 pounds which still isn't "healthy" by BMI standards. I have been there before and it was just right for me. I prefer to be about a size 12-14 pants because I like having a curvy shape. And my boyfriend definitely prefers it that way! But really everyone is different and we all have our own preferences...
