    And I am.

Wondering if there are any other awesomely fabulous Clevelanders to add to my collection.

WARNING: I am highly sarcastic and inappropriate. I breathe mostly sarcasm and lies. I drink beer and lots of it. I'm happily married so not looking for any hook ups. (You can stop reading now if this applies to you.) I post a lot of nonsensical posts on my wall and will blow up your feed. If we mesh, I am looking to actually hang out in person occasionally and more frequently than that if I love you.

    Any daring takers?

Yes! I am from Fairview, live in Strongsville, and work in Independence for the Clinic. I brew beer, and lots of it! :drinker: Also happily married and not looking to hook up. If you want to raise hel... er,,, Pittsburgh with a goofball, I'm totally game!

Now let's turn this into East vs. West side. That's my favorite game.

This doesn't work with me. I'm not from here.

Though the west side is not as landlocked and Godforsaken. :P

I’m not from Cleveland, but I do know that Cleveland had America’s first traffic light and was the first city in the world to be lighted electrically.

Sorry that is not correct. Wabash Indiana was the first city to lighted electrically.

    http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/10495

    dsc01768.jpg?w=590&h=443

1879 - In Apr. 1879 CHAS. F. BRUSH†, then associated with the Cleveland Telegraph Supply Co., constructed 12 lamps of 2,000 candlepower, on ornate 150' standards erected on Public Square. Subsequently the city council contracted for the arc lighting of Public Square and adjacent streets for an amount not to exceed $1,348.95 annually. Soon Brush arc lights began to appear on downtown Cleveland streets.

1880 - At 8:00 P.M on the night of Wednesday, March 31, 1880 the lights came on from the top of the courthouse. That night gave the people of Wabash something to be proud of. Wabash had bought 4 lights from the Brush Electric Light Company of Cleveland, Ohio.

You and OP can have a cage match over this one.

this guy used to be from cleveland...

    lebron-james-cavs.jpg

Only when he was playing for the Cavs, he's from Akron, and they still love him down here. He's actually not a bad guy. Does a lot for the akron schools and kids here. He just went about leaving the wrong way.

I saw him last year helping little kids cross the street after school, like a cross guard. He really does give back to his hometown. AK-rowdy.

Q: How do kids from East Cleveland spend the first week of the school year?
    A: Studying their Miranda Rights

    Q. How did the boy from Chardon die from drinking milk?
    A. The cow fell on him.

Q: What does the average student from Solon get on his SAT?
    A: Hummus.

Q: What is the difference between a person from Shaker and a baby?
A: The baby will eventually stop crying.

Q: How do you castrate a guy from Euclid?
A: Kick his sister in the mouth.

Q: Did you hear about the power outage in the Kirtland library?
A: Thirty people were stuck on the escalator for three hours.

I'm from Columbus but my husband is from closer to Cleveland and has serious love for the city. Plan is to move to a surrounding-Cleveland area in a few years. For now we are "Northern-- Central Ohioans".

    And, GO BROWNS.

My apologies. I don't really care about the rivalry. Anyone around here who made it through this last, brutal winter is a fellow Northeast Ohioan. Every local I've met on here has been a fantastic person, and I'm proud to know them.
  • I was from Cleveland, now live in Mass. I LOVE the CLE! What is with all the Bernie jokes, really? I would welcome a lovely Cleveland girl to my friends!!

Not in Cleveland, but I believe I can take you in a mud fight.

Make it pudding and I'm in. Now get your sassy little biscuits up here for a visit.

Hell I am driving in for front row seats on this one! I love pudding!

Originally from Akron, I think that almost counts. Then I moved to Pittsburgh. Don't hate me. I'm still a Browns fan. Do you know how hard it is to be a Browns fan in Pittsburgh? I think I should get bonus points for that.
