Hello Everyone! My name is Dana. I am starting off the year with a lifestyle change. I am starting to have health problems due to weight issues. I have a 10 year old son that I would love to go outside and play ball with. By the end of the year, I plan to run in a 5k.
I know there are alot of goals. I plan to stick to them this time. If not, I won't be around to see my son grow up.

Hey Dana!
I'm in the same boat as you with starting to have the health problems due to weight...high blood pressure, glucose and an existing lower back issue that is worse with weight gain. I am slow with the exercise needing lots of motivation to STOP procrastinating! I am determined to lose the weight this year too! In the past I have run a few 5 k's(15 yrs ago) and at that time although I was not overweight I was completely out of shape and never did any exercise at all. I started walking first....then after I mastered a fast pace walk for two miles(took me two months or so) then I upped it to a slow jog until finally a few months into it I was RUNNING 2 miles 4-5 days a week! It felt amazing...my body changed slowly and about 6 months later I ran my first 5K! Of course I wasn't the fastest but I wasn't the last either! You can do this and I can do this with you!!! Friend me and let's motivate each other! I need help staying on track! Happy New Year!!

Hi everyone, My name is Ryan and my wife and I decided it is time to start living healthy. My family has diabetes and I don't want to go down the same path as everyone else. Every time I start working out I end up giving up. That isn't going to be me anymore. I have decided to work out with friends. I believe when you have a goal set and have other people involved it will help concrete my decision to keep my goal.0
