    That guys an idiot. If someone lost weight then what difference does it make it they are thin now, and so what if they regain their weight since that can happen. You like someone because of who they are and yes you need to be attracted to them also. Suddenly in life you can have thyroid issues or other medical issues which cause weight gain for men and women, what then... you just dump the person in your life over that? Noooooo, you do not! This guy is no loss for you, move on and you will find better, don't lose sleep over this.
