I love my 110, I needed the longer battery life! I believe the 10 only has 4 hours of GPS whereas the 110 has 8! I am training for a marathon and I didn't want to have to charge the watch before every run

I am in the market and looking for a new GPS watch too, and I am actually eyeing the Garmin 310...mainly for the battery life (20 hrs) and for the fact that I am looking at doing some sprint tris sometime in the future and need something waterproof.

What is your ultimate goal? Do you want to do a marathon one day? If so then I would go with the 110...it is better to invest in something that will continue to work for what you grow into.

I currently have a TomTom Runner, and while I love it...the battery life sucks and it isn't waterproof...thus why I am looking at going with the Garmin 310.

I will be training for a half. Not sure if id ever run a full.

I do like how the 110 comes with a chest strap so I wont have to wear my running watch and my heart rate monitor.

There is only a $30 difference

Just to warn you that the strap that comes with the Garmin 110 is a very hard plastic and a LOT of people absolutely hate it. I bought the soft-strap HRM after running with the hard strap a couple of times. I chafed so badly with the HRM strap that comes with it.

But I still love my Garmin 110. I think I'm getting the 310 for Christmas.
