Not quite reaching my calorie intake goals

I have noticed I seem to be coming in under my recommended daily calorie intake, usually by only a few hundred or less but what I'm wondering about is if this is a bad thing, I'm totally new to this and still have very little idea of what I'm doing.
I've also only been using this site to help me for 3 days and it might be a bit soon to be asking but in the name of future reference I guess it's ok to find out

That depends on what your daily goal is...

If you are falling short and getting in 1k calories no it's not good...

If you are at 2300 and getting 2k in no that isn't too bad...but you could fill up those 300 with ice cream...or other treats...

Just because you are losing weight doesn't mean you can't have treats...if they fit in your goals.

If you make your diary public, you may get some more helpful replies but I agree with the PP that you can pick up those cals with a smaller portion of something you enjoy, like ice cream or some other treat.

Your food diary is not open - so its hard to discuss specifics.

Whether or not its a problem to come in under your goal - depends on how aggressive you set your weight loss. According to the ticker on your page, I think you want to lose 50kg which is 110 pounds. (I understand pounds better.) With that level of weight loss you probably set goals to aim for a 1.5-2 pound loss per week, so MFP set you up with a 750-1000 deficit daily. If so, then it would probably be best to make an effort to consume your calorie goal or at least come close to it.

If you lose weight too quickly - by having a larger than intended deficit - its likely you're going to lose a lot of muscle in addition to fat. In the long run that's not good for you as you'll eventually need to work even harder to build the muscle back up.

Again, can't see your diary. But if you've gone to a lot of fat free alternatives, add some regular fat foods (like dairy) back in. Make sure to track, weigh, measure everything as well. Eat nuts, get plenty of protein, have peanut butter on your apple or celery slices, etc.
