Hooray. MFP just recalculated my goals again after another 10 pounds gone. I had decided that when that happened, I'd adjust my goal from 2 a week to 1.5 a week.

Getting those extra 250 calories has me more excited than it should. It'll be a veritable feast when I move to 1 a week!

with 20lb left to lose, 1lb is the most you should be aiming for anyway.

I feel ya. In the past I've always set my goals to lose 2 lbs per week (1200 cals a day) and have had varying degrees of success...I started out after the first of the year this year wanting to lose weight and frustrated with myself because every time I'd try I'd end up giving up. So I decided to be easier on myself (I mean, the time is going to pass anyway so what does it really matter how fast I lose the weight?) 1 pound per week goal. I'm eating around 1400 calories a day and it makes all the difference in my attitude. Been going strong for 4 months. Down 17 pounds with 8 more to go and still feeling totally motivated.

I'd never go back to trying to do it as fast as I can. Talk about burn out!

I really have about 40 more I could lose. That final goal number gets me to 220, which sounded pretty good when I was at the top.

I am also planning to go to 1 a week after my neice's wedding in 8 weeks, and hopefully be on full maintain by the end of the year.

What's also funny is my calorie limit now that I adjusted it is about the same when I started all of this 44 pounds ago. Back then it was a challenge, now it's like a dream.
