What do you hope to accomplish?

That sounds wonderful, wheird!
I do want to be thinner because I'm a fashion blogger and have an image to uphold.
I'm so sorry to hear that BV1980. People should like You for what's on the inside, not the outside. My dog is still fat but it is still my life partner.
Can your dog cry upon command?0 -
Yes yes my sweet little dog could lose some weight and become a fashion blogger. Its Chinese name is New New and some people call it Pang New New which means Fat New New....
So you have a dog version of Moon Moon?0 -
What's moon moon? My dog is a fatty0

To increase my all-around awesomeness to even HIGHER levels.
But more specifically, to be able to do whatever I want to do in life without worrying about whether my body is capable of it. Climb that tree? H*&! yes! Swim that lake? I can do that! Climb up that bluff? D*(!& straight!
And I intend to accomplish this by continuing to eat, lift, and run. And by continuing to have an amazing group of friends on here, who constantly inspire me through their incredible efforts and great senses of humor.

First and foremost, develop a better relationship with food and how I view myself.
I also want to continue building strength and endurance. I want to get to a point where I don't have to turn down any opportunity given to me because I'm not able, a level of fitness and ability where I don't have to be constantly training 6 months to a year out to prepare for the things I want to do.
More specifically, I want to deadlift over 300lbs, squat in the 200s, bench close to my bodyweight... and OHP... well, fck OHP.0 -
I started MFP as an alternative to paying for Weight Watchers. I figured if I wasn't going to log my food, I might as well not log my food for free....right? So here I am a year later, still going up and down in weight, doing some logging stents, but mostly enjoying the fitness friends I've made along the way.
I want to continue learning from the wise people and helping those I can.
I want to continue to get stronger and keep lifting more.
I want to keep pursuing activities that hold my interest, activities of skill......currently boxing.
Basically I hope to keep becoming a better me every day.0 -

Ahhh. that explains some things. .0 -

I joined to lose weight...I am not going to lie. Since joining and learning about weight loss and fitness my new found goal is to be fit and healthy. I am 53 and a Nana of two wonderful grandsons. I am stronger than ever and feel good. I hope to inspire my children to get healthy all 3 of my sons are obese. I do not want to be a weak and fragile grandmother but rather a force to be reckoned with if you know what I mean.0

At my current weight I am 247, I have had a hard time moving around quickly, doing things for a long period of time without being tired. I would come home after only being on my feet for 4 hours at work and my feet would be killing me if I wore anything but sneakers ( I know flats are bad for your feet but they shouldn't be KILLING me after 4 hours either). I want to feel like moving and eating food that makes me feel good. I want to break my cravings/addictions to fat/sugar/grease.... This time around (last 3 1/2 weeks) I started at 258 and I can already feel that I am lighter on my feet and more energized on a regular basis. I feel good and ready to continue this journey!!0

Honestly, I first joined because I wanted to lose weight, but not get too skinny. My first goal was 180lbs, and hopefully a size 12 by that point. I've been overweight my entire life, and I just wanted to be able to buy clothes in a non-fat people store. I started years ago with too few calories, and quickly gave up due to the stress of grad school.
When I came back, I had the same goals. Then I discovered lifting and read a lot of information by some great users here. And my goals have changed. I want to get stronger, and I want to get leaner. But, I don't want to give up the things I enjoy like treats and beer. I don't really ever see myself getting down to 20% bf, but I know I'm not going to be happy at 180. Basically, I need to find a balance of lean enough that I'm happy with how I look, eating enough to fuel my lifts, and being happy at that eating level. And hopefully I'll be smart enough to recognize that balance when I get there. And once I do, I'll continue the long process of recomping and getting my lifts as high as possible.0 -
Still trying to set up a really hot cyber affair. Lots of nibbles but haven't found just the right mix.
I offered, you rejected.
Just because you're looking for something doesn't mean you'll take anything.
Not saying anything, you know? It's you, not me.0 -
This is my first post let's hope I do this right!!
I of course joined MFP to help aid myself in weight loss. But I also wanted to be held more accountable for what I was putting into my body. Until I joined MFP I didn't know how badly I was treating my body by how much I consumed. Although my weight loss hasn't been too significant yet, I still feel pretty strong and encouraged to continue on. I joined the community in hopes of finding other people like myself who have always struggled to maintain a "healthy looking weight". I was always a very small kid growing up, but after I hit my teen years I just blew up like a brick house. I've come to a point in my life where I don't want to feel "heavy" anymore. I lived the past ten years of my life in this over sized body. Now that I'm almost midway through my twenties I just want to feel good for myself. Literally just from peeking through some of these community threads has given me so much inspiration, and seeing how devoted everyone is really helps. I've only lost about 5 pounds since I started to eat right, and exercise an hour a day after work. But today I went to put on a tank top under my work shirt and it fit loose! Mind you this has been a tank that I always wanted to wear but it always looked too skin tight on me. Now I know a 5 pound difference in weight isn't significant, but I feel like maybe a lot of it had to do with bloating or sodium consumption. A small victory such as fitting into this one shirt feels great, and I'm excited for the future of my journey. I have so many other clothes that I've never even worn before still with the tags on waiting for me to wear them. I'm not sure how the "friends" feature works on MFP but I'd like to connect with others an keep each other motivated. I think it would be very beneficial.0 -
I'm here for a good time. Does that make me weird?0

Howard: "Don't worry, I don't fancy you."
Vince: "Of course you do. All men do. I'm the confuser. Is it a man? Is it a woman? Oh, I'm not sure I mind..."0 -

I have accomplished what I came here to accomplish. The reason I am still here is because I still have a need/desire to track my intake and because I like interacting with the cool people on my FL. I learn things from watching other people. I learn what I want to be, what I don't want to be. I learn about overcoming obstacles and pushing myself further than I would have on my own.
And one thing I've gotten from this site that I never even considered when I first joined is self-acceptance. Other people have shown me that, while I'll always have things to work on, I'm okay, and there's no point in trying to make friends with people who don't like the real you.0 -
I hope to accomplish two things:
1) Gain upper body strength so I have no issues with carrying groceries and picking up my nephews (the 4 year old at least. my 7 year old nephew is to big to be picked up!)
2) A flat tummy - I don't want a 6-pack abbs, just a flat tummy. Though I am starting to think that it's hopeless and that I will always have a little tummy.0 -
1) To get off of my diabetes medication
2) To enjoy shopping more :blushing:
3) To be able to coach Girls on the Run
4) To have the best chance possible of being around when my own children get old and go gray0 -
All I wanna do is zooma zoom zoom zoom and a boom boom.
"Just shake your rump!"
Thanks GuitarJerry, now I have that song in my head! :laugh:0 -
I started with a number in mind but have come to realize that i'm just seeking some discipline in this area of life. I want to be AND look fit as it will be an outward expression of self-discipline and that will make me feel good about myself. I'm not a control-freak by any means, in fact the opposite, but i do want some control in this aspect of my life. There was a time in my life when i was very athletic and i am pushing myself to get back to that. My wife digging the improvements is just a side-benefit. This is for me and that's what is different about this stage of my life - doing things for me! It is really fun chasing goals and setting new ones.0
-
I will accomplish the reduction and/or elimination of bad habits; and the addition of new habits.
I will accomplish weight loss and muscle gain.
I will accomplish attaining a level of self-respect and esteem that makes the old destructive habits distasteful.
I will accomplish getting at least one pervy PM from someone on my FL0 -
To be the best version of me I can.
next goals: complete a half marathon (the mind), complete a 5km in under 30 min, dead lift 70+kg, squat 60+kg, be able to do a pull up, get body fat under 25%, few more in there.......WHEN I achieve these, I will have written my next goals. No idea what they are, but I can already feel myself start to dream and fantasize.0 -
To get down to, and maintain a healthy bodyweight that will hopefully help me live a few more years.
To raise my overall level of fitness.
And to look good in a wetsuit so that I can learn to ride a wave before I end my 50th year......0
