I have been trying to drink alot of water and cut out soda altogether. Also, this first week on MFP, I've limited my alcohol intake to just one day. I have a stressful job and can honestly say that a beer or glass of wine has been the norm at least 2 nights per week plus on Friday and Saturday. I truly believe that this has a lot to do with my weight gain. 7 years ago I lost 40 lbs on Weight Watchers and maintained that loss and stayed within my maintenance weight until the last 2 years when it just seems 5-10 lbs crept on every year, but this last winter I had no motivation to even exercise and 15 came on. I'm not going back to my size 14-16 suits and jeans, even if I have to be naked!!!! So, I'm trying this new plan, MFP, and unfortunately, the first week I only lost 2 (compared with 8 lbs when I did WW), but I was on my period and I did lose so I'm in. I think maybe I consumed too much fruit and not enough vegetables and I'm having a hard time
Fun thing: I really like to take walks with my dog. I mean power walks where he's dragging behind when we finish. I don't run, but walking fast outside really gives me time to think, clear my head, and be thankful for all the good things in my life.
As to food: I tried Almond Milk in my morning smoothie this Saturday for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is! It's about 1/2 what the milk was so that's my new food in the morning as I hate to eat breakfast. Let's see if by the end of this week it makes a difference or not. I sure hope so.0 -
