What are your trigger foods that really mess you up? Just curious what others' worst offending foods are...

PEANUT BUTTER... which really bums me out because it can totally be part of a healthy diet. But unless I eat it as an ingredient in something (like a smoothie or dessert) then I have trouble saying no to another spoonful...then another...and another! :blushing:0

Chocolate. Even dark chocolate (which can be good for you in moderation).

Ha- mine is peanut butter too! I've eaten entire jars in single sittings!
My friend used to say that when die i will be lying face down on the floor, littered with empty peanut butter jars and a sink full of dirty spoons!
And chocolate.
Chocolate is tricky.0 -

Agree: peanut butter, chocolate, and my McDonalds iced coffee's!! Bummer.0

Anything salty like potato chips or crackers.0

Biscuits! Especially chocolate ones.. and I seem to be craving ice cream alot lately too0

Chips and cheesy dip...0

Processed foods. Even if I meet my calorie goal I can still be almost 2 times over my sodium limit! I try to make my own food, but sometimes I give in. Like this weekend I had two cans of Campbell's Chunky soup because I'm sick and didn't want to make my own again. Just one can is 74% of my daily sodium! So, needless to say, I'm retaining water big time!0

My worst thing to eat is "Gardetto's" I can't stop myself when I start snacking on them. Sometimes I eat these for breakfast or even supper (dinner). I just love them. I guess I am going to have to stop buying them some they won't be a temptation.0

anything (usually) sweet and easy to eat that's in the house once the kids are in bed. Biscuits, crisps, ice cream, chocolate, sweets.... Swapping for light yogurt, fruit and high fibre crisp breads with a scraping of pate is a good enough substitute until I break the habit0

Homemade white bread and popcorn:-)0

white bread and mountain dew.
do. not. let. me. near. white. bread.

Little Debbie snack cakes. I will have a day off every now and then, and if those are in the house for the kids lunches, you can guarantee I am going to have one, or two, and have to leave the house to get away from them!0

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEE~!0

Leftover Christmas cookies. Can't wait til they're gone.0

Same here with processed foods...I just cannot come in under my sodium, EVER! I even shop for low sodium and no sodium added, but still come out over. I try to think of alternatives to the processed things I eat and I just don't know what to replace them with or else I would pretty much be eating the same thing every day, which would get old fast! *sigh*0

chips and ritz crackers. I could eat the whole container in a day :ohwell:0

Oh my gosh. I can relate to these cravings! So, what do you do to stay away from them?0

chinese food! and chip and dip!0
-
Chocolate!!!0

Anything sweet or chocolatey (cookies and cake especially). And ... this is weird ... but CEREAL! I think it's because I tend to think of it as generally innocent, but I have had crazy cereal binges in the late afternoon. I don't buy it anymore -- I'm all oatmeal, all the time because I truly can't resist overeating it!0
-
Pizza...Digiorno Three meat pizza!. Ohhhh, I'm a bad boy. Blew my calorie count by 15 calories because of that damn pizza!0
-
Taco's , Avacado's, Peanut M&M's, The biggest is Soft Chocolate chip Cookies even the dough.0
-
chocolate is a tough one. I have a really hard time with chocolate with almonds and maple bars. Also, when I see other people eating ice cream I want some too!0
-
PASTA & TORTILLAS! I can't stop myself!0
-
Oh my gosh. I can relate to these cravings! So, what do you do to stay away from them?
Either I just have to not buy them - if they're not in the house I can't eat them!
But if I do buy them I'll try and limit myself to only a few in the day, and make sure I get my exercise so that i'm not under my cals. It's good to sometimes have a bit of the bad things as long as it's not all the time and you're getting plenty of healthy stuff too.0 -
Bread, pasta, pizza, baked goodies (i love to bake! ) and ice cream. I haven't figured out a way not to give in, which is why I am 46 pounds overweight! :noway: I will have to figure out how to add them in my diet in small amounts. It is not realistic to eliminate them all together! that just makes me want them more!0

Hands down... Mexican food, specifically beans, cheese and sour cream.
I've learned to handle it though by making homemade re-fried beans and using low-fat sour cream... and cheese in moderation of course.0
